Rellings Retreat was a fabulous property for our 2017 annual Thanksgiving tree hunt with family, including grandchildren. Cabin was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The hot tub and fire pit were a hit! No issues at all, would definitely rent again.

We recently rented Above the Clouds cabin in West Jefferson. The cabin is located in a lovely neighborhood. The view from the deck was fabulous. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was clean. If you like a semi firm/firm newer mattress this is not the cabin for you. We left a day early due to poor sleep. The sheets had pilling and bleach stains. As a previous review stated, the furniture is not comfortable. The two faux leather chairs are terribly cracked and have seen better days. We have stayed in dozens of cabins and Echota many times over the years and this is the first time that we have had an unsatisfactory review. However, the town of West Jefferson is delightful. Many excellent restaurants, friendly people and quaint shops.

My extended family and I recently stayed at "Beyond the Clouds" (October 2017 for 3 nights) via High Mountain Cabin Rentals. Originally for a fall weekend but turned into a gathering for a funeral. Upon arrival found an ENTIRE bathroom under construction, basement kitchen area with only sub floor, heating vent completely open, construction dust everywhere. No signs (we had young children) marking areas of construction. Apparently an email had been sent to me (they gave me proof) but I had not received it. There was no other attempt made prior to our stay to ensure we had received the message that we are down 1 whole full bathroom. More importantly the party line was that there was another bathroom so "sorry". No possible compensation offered for the inconvenience. One of the bedroom doors was completely obstructed by an exercise bike.

On our last night, one of the remaining toilets backed up. I appreicated the assistance from the manager via texting, however there was absolutely no plunger around for us to fix this. All in all the house was "okay" -- obviously going under repairs. lots of cosmetic things need updating. For me, the ignoring of my query for some kind of compensation for the lack of communication prior to our stay as well as when we pointed out the problems with the bathrooms, is just poor customer service. I have never stayed at a rental where if there were this significant issues, there wasn't some kind of discount made. Just beware that if things go wrong, it doesn't seem to be a problem the company is interested in fixing or making right.

Charmed!! We could not have been happier with our weekend stay at Creekside Waterfalls. From the peaceful sounds of multiple babbling creeks to the uber comfortable king sized bed tucked cozily in the loft, my husband and I were able to totally unwind and recharge. The owners have thought of everything to make you feel comfortable. We especially loved that the cabin is easy access to a paved road, and a direct shot to Boone's conveniences, while still giving you the feeling that you are tucked away in the mountains. The landscaping, fire pit, patio, hot tub, were all beautifully done, well maintained, and we had complete privacy while sitting back there, which we loved!! What more can I say. Oh yes, it was perfectly clean!! Stacey, the property manager, was wonderful to do business with. We didn't want to leave, and that's how a retreat should be. Don't hesitate to stay at this one, it was darling.

Stony Creek cabin has rats. The upstairs master bedroom closet had multiple dead RATS. Not mice, rats and very large ones. Their droppings covered the closet floor. The bathroom cabin also had droppings as did the upstairs hallway closet. The kitchen stove wasn't usable from burnt/dried food and grease. The outdoor grill was very old, dirty and rusted. The outdoor fire pit was destroyed and not usable. I paid alot for our rental and am very disappointment. This property has a lot of potential if cleaned up.

Cabin was pretty. Bunk Bed and Futon didn't sleep good in downstairs bedroom. Couch in Living room didn't not sit well. Rest of cabin was fine.We stayed in Donegal.

We LOVE renting with and through this company! Everything is so easy, booking the cabin is quick online or over the phone. Once booked the emails and communication that come are perfect, sharing every detail you would ever need in your arriving, departing and during your stay. These cabins are always spotless and every thing is perfectly thought of! I wouldn't suggest any other company to anyone for that area! We love staying with them each year!!
