A great trail to walk, bike ride or horse ride! Several locations to get on and off. The High Bridge is something everyone should visit and take in the sights! Rent a bike in Farmville and ride to the bridge and back, once back to Farmville keep down the trail a little further and check out Third Street Brewing that connects to the trail for a quick refreshment!

I think you have to understand that the trail itself passes through many different places, so at any given point along it, you're technically on the trail, in the park, but you might have very differing surroundings. It's a cool construct and definitely worth visiting but be aware that you might enter the park from one of MANY different entrance points.

The High Bridge State park is ABSOLUTELY Gorgeous! A must for anyone who wants to bask in the beauty of the area! Dog friendly is a plus of course. 🐶
We love to ride our bikes 🚴 all throughout the trails, and walking trails are nice and level on the main paths. There are also great side trails that you can hike as well! The bathrooms are very clean, and at great locations. The picnic areas are a real treat too! We are frequent visitors to the trails.response / report this review -

Never been there. But, not sure I want to. Judging by the looks of some of these pics. Old buildings with graffiti, and a pic of a town with power lines? I'd take those down. Not good representation of the park.

Installing water stations at all the barrooms would be nice. Some have them but most don't. Mile markers would also be a great idea in case of an emergency.

Love, love, love, love, LOOOVEE this state park! The people are great and it is so much fun to take the family and just WALK (or Bike, there are bike rental shops right in downtown Farmville)! They have amazing guided tours and the bridge is a true spectacle. A true Virginia treasure
