About

In the fall of 1960, the Northwest Center of the University of Kentucky opened its doors for the first time to 256 Henderson, Union, and Webster County residents. In 1964, the Northwest Center became Henderson Community College (HCC), a charter member of the University of Kentucky Community College System. Then, in 1998, HCC became on one of the 16 Colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). HCC currently enrolls more than 2,000 students in academic, technical and transfer programs and provides training for many more citizens through its continuing education program. HCC also provides dual credit courses to college students in the region. HCC offers a wealth of cultural opportunities through its Preston Arts Center, located on the campus. More information may be found at http://PrestonCenter.org. You may also find more information by following HCC on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
