We are a non profit organization. Our main office is in Tahlequah, OK. We serve Cherokee, Adair, Wagoner, and Sequoyah Counties. We have a Hotline for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Victims and Survivors. 1-800-300-5321. Call if you need help.
Help-In-Crisis was established in 1979 by a group of concerned volunteers to provide safety and shelter to battered women and their children. Sexual Assault and children's services were added later and Volunteers are the heart of the success of our organization. They are truly priceless and a necessity for our organization and our purpose!!!
Help in Crisis would like to thank BancFirst of Tahlequah for sponsoring Walk-A-Mile! We appreciate you taking a stand against sexual assault and domestic violence. đź‘

Happy International Women’s Day from all of us here at HIC!! 💜
With it being Women’s History Month, we wanted to recognize Ellen Pence (1948-2012). Ellen was a pioneer in the movement to end domestic violence. She worked with survivors to create the “Power and Control Wheel,” which we use on a daily basis at the agency! She also founded Praxis International and her work has helped DV victims for decades! 💜#womenshistorymonth #celebratewomen
