We we're there Saturday November 4th. We were told by several locals and the information booth when we got off the ferry that Saturday was the last day they were opened. I solely came to the island to purchase wine and to see this winery. I was very disappointed. The staff opened the door and said they were only opened for a private party. When we again said we just wanted to purchase wine she stared at us for awhile before saying she had to ask someone. Then came back and said she could wait on us. Did not suggest sell, and came off very irritated we we're there. I chose not to spend any money. I will not return. I documented my trip on Facebook live and never mentioned this winery as I don't feel it was worth mentioning. I was treated better by the cashier at Krogers on 63 who gladly talked to us and suggested a Pinot grigio on sale.. we bought several bottles to enjoy from them instead.
The bartender told us he made amazing mimosas and he did! We had a very reasonably priced pitcher and a couple of samples. It was a nice laid-back place.
Wine..not good. Customer service..bad. Hospitalityreally lacking. Would not recommend at all. Nasty attitude in ticket/welcome center. Wine tour guide did his job with a good attitude.
I loved the wine tour and the crystal cave tour!Their wines are fabulous, especially rhe sweet catwaba wine! Beautifully located and just loved the whole atmosphere.. and the nearby put in bay was so glorious! go there I recommend it highly.. you won't be disappointed 😁
Not the best wine in the world but not bad. A really nice experience overall, with the winery tour, and then going into the worlds largest geode, and afterwards having some wine in their pretty garden. Nice. (Tip: Don't be drunk already when you go there.) (Tip #2: If you are an ass when you drink, don't drink before going there.)
I've never been more insulted in my life, I spent 13 years in the service industry and have never been turned away like that. The manager (older man with a beard) told us it was a button up shirt only establishment. We went down the street and ten people told us they were there earlier in cut-off shirts. I've been going to put in bay for ten plus years and never been treated like that. To be turned away based on physical appearance is garbage management and no one should experience this.
Not bad. The Crystal cave is sweet! I prefer put in bay winery wine though
Love coming here & having a couple bottles of wine before we hit the bars
what a dump. wines were basic depression era basement swill. sadly the tourist cave was the lone highlight of my visit. if you like barely passible juice fronting as wine come and get toasty here. otherwise stay away from this grade school juice stand.
The best grape juice I have ever had! No kidding, I know it's a winery, but try their grape juice, it's mind blowingly food. Also, the crystal cave is really cool, totally worth the few dollars to explore it. Feels like your in another world.
A great place for some yummy sweet wines!
If you think you're a wine connoisseur and are looking for luxury, stay away! You won't fit in and you're not wanted anyway ;)
This place is about comfy, casual, fun conversation and very, very drinkable wines!
