  The food is amazing, every time. The only issue I had was that it was hot . The AC wasn't working right and we wanted to leave after 15 minutes. I still say it's the best pizza in Charlotte.

  I ordered the luau pizza to go. It can hardly be called a pizza. There was very little sauce and cheese. The pork products on the pizza were over salted and dry. I would not recommend.

  I love Hawthorne's pizza but honestly the service is bad. We've had the same lady twice and both times we have sent food back because it was completely wrong from what we ordered. I called in an order and that same lady ruined that order too. I was not rude but she got an attitude with me and blamed me for the order being wrong. I hate to say it but this will be my last time there. Maybe once she leaves I will be able to enjoy this location again.

  The service is so bad but I'm actually sitting in the restaurant writing my review. This was actually my first time going to the restaurant as we are new to the Charlotte area. I had gone to the restaurant because it was a fundraiser for my children's elementary school. We sat down and waited at least an hour before anyone even acknowledged that we were sitting there. Finally the young man who had been preoccupied with changing the channels on the television came over and said sorry for your wait and begin to take our drink orders. Then we need waited another 15 minutes for our garlic knots. And did I mention that the family that came in after us have already received their food drinks and are ready to leave we're just getting our appetizer. What's strange is that one of the waiters who walked past our table constantly the whole time just stopped and asked do we need anything when they never even thought to come and take our order or ask if we wanted anything in the hour that we had been sitting there. I will never return.

  Great pizza if you like New York style. Other menu items are decent too. Mostly Italian fare. Service has always been friendly and expedient enough, no matter who the server/bartender. Definitely worth checking out of you like Italian food (pizza especially).

  Awesome... just had the Philly wrap, and an strawberry Coronarita. Strongly recommend!!
