Best BBQ in Dallas! Great for groups. Great food. Amazing options all serves by the pound. Order what you want, how much you want, a d mix and match the meats. Great sides, unlimited beans and fountain drinks, solid atmosphere. I've been a few times and will keep going back every time I visit Dallas.

The barbecue is amazing! Every time my in laws come here from Los Angeles they have to go to hard 8 barbecue. They just fell in love with it from the atmosphere to the food there is nothing not to love. Make sure you try the bacon wrapped chicken poppers you won't regret it

Damn good BBQ. It's a bit different from BBQ in other states. Your walk in and there's a guy Manning the grill with chicken, ribs, sausage and everything in between already going. You get your meat weighed then move on to get your sides.

It was pretty busy even for a late night. Sweet tea is actually sweet yum. The meat is so moist and tender. I had the brisket and jalapeno sausage. The banana pudding is amazing.

I went here for the first time today after hearing people rant and rave about it. I was definitely not disappointed. I got 4 ribs, half of a spicy sausage, half a pound of brisket, corn, and a baked sweet potato. All of it tasted amazing. Noticeably better than the other chain BBQ places. But it's also noticeably more expensive. I'm about $30 lighter than I was this morning. All in all, I'd say it's worth it as a treat once in a while. I think they could come off the prices a couple bucks and do a lot more business. But then again if you can make the same money by doing less work for fewer patrons, who am I to question it? ;-)

It was simply amazing. We were traveling and met some friends there to eat. They didn't have all the items are friends suggested, but everything we ate was very tasty. They seemed to not care that we stayed well after closing time, which we would normally not so, but that we had a short time to visit with our friends in such a packed few days. Their hospitality was appreciated for sure. If they had all their items available I am quite sure I would have hated them a five.

Busy on a Friday night at 9 pm, complete with live outlaw country music from Fritz Schultz. Loved the brisket and regular sausage. Everyone friendly and competent. They made me some fresh okra and brought it to the table rather than scrape the last of the existing supply. Great choice if you’re violating Texas tradition and having BBQ in the evening.

Excellent food. Very awesome to walk in and order your meat by weight. Plus you can try a variety of things, and trust me you will want a piece of everything when you walk in from the smell alone. Everything was cooked excellently, the sides are also superb. Just be careful because it's easy to order way more than you actually eat. I alwayd get to much because I think I want a little of everything. Staff was super friendly and awesome. Can't wait to visit this place again.

There is NO cell service inside this restaurant location..!!! Loved the food at this location! The baked beans are always seasoned as expected. I enjoy getting the brisket, ribs, and sausage as a primary meal, but I have tried some of the others and was not impressed. I like to get the sides as well like the baked potato with a meat for lunch, pickles, pie, fries, onion rings, and the peppers. The cooking pit is a sight to see and definitely difficult to resist over ordering what you what to eat. The seating area is pretty large and versatile to accommodate small and large crowds. There are two lines to the register to pay for your meals. The restrooms are clean and had enough items inside to last the day. The tables feature enough paper towels to keep your hands clean enough to prevent you from getting barbecue finger prints on your clothesby accident anyway.

Definitely nice to be able to order how much food you want in terms of pounds. Quarter, half, and so on. Outdoor picnic tables were great for our 10 person group. However, when we arrived at 7:30 pm (they closed at 9pm) they were already out of several items. The sausage and mac n cheese were the best items on the menu, everything else I tried was alright, but not quite worth what you're paying for. Still, what was good was great and it's a fun atmosphere. Just go early to have all your options!

My first experience at a Texas Smokehouse did not disappoint! The whole experience was awesome! All the meats are prepped front of house with huge smokers! You pick your choices as you walk by and they are served up nice and hot! Sides and trimmings are available down the line and you pick them yourself. Endless baked beans! I chowed down on the brisket, which is always my go-to, and it was amazing!

After all the hype I have heard for so long I was pretty disappointed. Smoked meats were pretty standard (maybe a little above average), sides were definitely the highlight of the meal. The mac and cheese was very good and the beans are also very good. Overall, a good place to go, but not my favorite.

This place is off the charts. You will have one of the best BBQ spots that Texas has to offer. It is really difficult to put to words just how delicious the food is here. If you're a first timer, be prepared: there will be a wait especially at the dinner hours. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. Let me try to put the price into perspective. I ordered 5 ribs, 1/4 pound of brisket, 8 sausage slices, and 2 shrimp skewers. That came out to $34.00. Pricey? Yes but it is absolutely worth every cent you will pay. The staff is extremely friendly which is always a plus. 5 stars just isn't enough to give Hard 8 BBQ.

Prime Rib and Brisket were Scrumptious, love the complimentary extras for Baked Potato. Ribs rate a 7
Easy Transition.. wait to choose your meats and go in for sides then pick your seat. Refill your own drinks and complimentary Beans if you eat inside.
    Great Place!!!

Visiting from Florida, and was here with a group of 6, and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Great food and great customer service.

The brisket doesn't require teeth to eat. It's that tender! Smoky and great depth of flavor. The pork was just as good!

We also tried the banana pudding. So good!!

If I lived nearby I'd be eating here often.
