Atmosphere and staff are inviting and friendly... boneless wing bites were yummy... boyfriend enjoyed his general tso chicken wrap. Ice cold beer on tap... for such a beautiful tavern they should use fresh Turkey for the Turkey burgers... mine was extremely dry... and wish it was real blue cheese not the dressing .. fresh cut fries were done perfectly.. it was our first visit and definitely will go back

The only hotel of note in the quiet Catskill town of Hancock. Food is decent, though nothing particularly special. Good list of rotating drafts.

I was travelling home from catskills region and saw the billboard advertising this place. I detoured off the highway and found the charming hotel in the main street of town. Plenty of parking, the tavern section offered a nice menu and I chose the steak dinner. The young woman serving me was pleasant and helpful, she had a good rapport with the bar patrons and checked on me as needed.
The steak was done as ordered, the veggies and mashed potaoes great as well. The cesar salad to start was to die for- nice big crunchy croutons, tasty cheese, I enjoyed it thoroughly!
I will definitley look this place up again when I return from Brockville ontario to the region in the future. Thank you for a wonderful affordable dining experience in a charming historical building!

Restaurant is very nice. We ate lunch in the bar area. The burgers are very good, but I asked for the mushrooms to be left off, they were stuck under the Swiss cheese. The fresh made chips are good.

Ridiculously cute and quaint! Stayed for just one quick overnight, I was in town to do hair and makeup for a wedding ten minutes down the road. The gentleman at the front desk was so wonderful (I think his name is frank. Not 100% sure) either way he was great! I was training for a half marathon and had a longer run to do in the morning so I was up at 330 ready to rock. He was also up getting coffee ready for the guests in the morning! He was so helpful in informing me of what route to take, seeing as I’m unfamiliar with the area. His advice was perfect, an awesome loop repeat! Also to my surprise when I wasn’t back exactly when I said I would be, he got in his car and drove around looking for me, because he was concerned!! I mean could he be any sweeter????! I would 100% recommend staying here, felt so comfortable like I was staying with family (:

Good food but the staff is spread VERY thin. Bartender is also the waitress for the entire restaurant. I felt bad for her.

Cheap place to stay in have great burgers! Fishermen are welcome! Beautiful movie and Historic Hotel right across the street from the Hancock sign. Lots of parking and the best place in town to eat! Eat in the bar or eat in the restaurant when it's open! For the right price you get a great burger!

So comfortable and clean, friendly staff, great amenities, good food, excellent location. We were very impressed with Hancock House Hotel and will definitely stay there again in the future.

We went for lunch. Usually the place is very slow and my party is the only one in the restaurant. This time it was busier than I have ever seen it. Service was a tad slow although there were a few bigger parties and only one or possibly two wait staff members. The food was good, definitely somewhere we will continue to go.

Clean and comfortable motel. Has a restaurant and bar inside so you don't have to go anywear to eat if you don't want to and you get free breakfast for staying there. Friendly staff that gave us a AAA discount.
