Wish I could give 6 stars! Jennifer and the team at Habitat Haven are the best! We had an original catio designed/installed by their team when they were located in Canada - it was an awesome condo balcony catio. Our 3 kitties enjoyed it thoroughly - rain or shine.

We recently moved to a house and of course reached out to Habitat Haven for our new backyard catio. They are now in Michigan, USA, but Jennifer was very thorough via phone & email to help measure/design the perfect catio including our requests for a locking entry door, etc. It arrived all nicely packed & ready to install (took me only 4 hours). The kitties love it so much!

We are already planning to add more to it when our budget allows.

Great selection and ideas for cats

As a California veterinarian, I routinely see how the outdoor cat population are harmed by the four "C"s (cars, coyotes, other cats (disease) and cruelty) - however, like every cat mom, I want my kitties to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. So, wherever I lived, I used to build a catio. In the past, I would build them from scratch with wood, chicken wire, and other various materials - it was always very time consuming! This last time, I decided to try the Habitat Haven module system & I am so happy I did. I highly recommend their product.

I first saw their product at a "pet fair" several years ago - I thought it was sturdy and well madeand I even remember asking them if they had experience in California (or any natural coyote regions) - which they did. At the time, I didn't personally need a new catio, but over time I have mentioned them to several of my clients. Well finally, my catio needed replacement. (The problem with most wood catios is dryrot and termites; (note, using cedar alone can get very expensive; and pressure treated wood is toxic)) - so I finally made the leap and bought from Habitat Haven. (By the way, I did check out other products, but I felt theirs' was the most secure)

Like I said, I am so happy I did - not only is it solidly sturdy and strong, but it has a much cleaner look than my previous catios. Plus, the instructions were well written and easy to understand (I had never worked with metal mesh before - so I was surprised by how easy it was. It only took me 4 days to fully install (with shelves) two window boxes and a custom 8' four-sided enclosure).

If there was any advice I could provide (and this is not a negative) it would be.if you plan to cut more than one opening - the wire cutters are good, but.let's just say, I was not patient enoughso I went to a Dremel tool pretty quickly. Otherwise, all the hand tools worked great.

I didn't need to reach out to their customer service department during installation, but I have reached out to them several times since (I am now expanding my catio). Their customer service always responds quickly and answers my questions fully. (AJ is awesome!) I only mention this because even if you have questions during installation - they are very responsive and I feel confident recommending both their product and service.
