I had a mixed experience. I love the big selection H Mart offers and am grateful to have access to such a variety. A very pleasant lady assist me at checkout. She knew exactly how to pack my stuff in the bags I brought and kept my big pile very organized. On the downside, I came out super exhausted due to overstimulation. H-Mart plays loud, hyper pop music, that interferes with my shopping. Instead of browsing through the inspiring ingredients, I find myself rushing to just get things on my list so I can run away as quickly as I can. I guess that helps me save money as I cannot take a leisury walk through the isles and be tempted by things. I wish they had either no music or something soft and relaxing, and instrumental instead of something that should be played at clubs or songs about breakups. I don't want to think about the sorrows of a relationship gone wrong while I pick the best cabbage and ponder which snack to get. I don't know how people work their all day long without getting a headache.

As an Asian Canadian from the Vancouver region visiting the US this a truly a haven. The food court situated within the H-mart complex houses some of the best Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese and Korean food stops I have tasted in a single location. The selection is grand and since it's a food court my 3 noisy kids are well accommodated. I'm willing to forego the restaurant experience when faced with the delicious dishes available here. I have visited many times. Each time our family tries a different vendor and new dish. So far I have not been disappointed and I leave with my wallet suffering minor losses.

This is the place to go to if you're looking for Asian food and groceries. The food court has some great places to get quick bites to eat such as the Korean Tofu House. Store has an excellent selection of vegetables that puts other grocery stores the same not to mention the selection of Asian specific vegetables. The meat selection here is top-notch. Spices and sauces from all over Asia and a great variety of specialty items keeps me coming back. I shop here so much when I bought my house, proximity and relatively easy access to the store was one of the selling points.

Does it have everything I'm looking for in a Japanese market?

    No, no it does not.

Then again, it's technically a Korean market and it performs quite admirably at that.

Great selection of fresh produce, decent prices on various dry goods and sundries.

And the attached food court has quite a decent selection of things.

A couple great things about this place - they've got an excellent meat selection and most of it is sliced for Korean BBQ - so beef sliced like bacon. Very handy if you're an instant noodle aficionado - just bag up a couple slices per sandwich baggie and you'll get about 15 of them for under $10. They've got a multi ethnic food court which is nice as well as a Beard Papa here.

Awesome store, easy to get lost and buy way more than you need. Layout isnt always intuitive and finding what you need can be tricky sometimes until you get a feel for the store but they have everything! And a food court/mall

We LOVE H Mart. My wife is half Thai, so we cook a variety of Asian foods. This is our favorite place to shop for specialty grocery. Selection is awesome, prices are great. Produce can be a bit hit or miss for quality, but the variety makes up for it. A variety of cultures represented in the mix.

This is a grocery store with a much better selection of produce and meat than is usual. I always find something I can't get elsewhere. From fruit that is not common to cuts and types of meat that I just can't find anywhere else. To top things off, they have the best cream puffs anywhere.

Great Korean and general Asian food for great prices. You can find everything from honey butter crisps to fresh made bimibap. General service is normal, although I've never had a problem. Only issue I've had is not gutting the fried fish, as that was quite gross when I discovered it mid-meal. However, I'll just chalk that up to cultural differences!

They have a huge selection of beef, pork, vegetables and Asian snacks at the market! Meats are very fresh. Fruits are just so-so but at the much cheaper price! We shop there at least twice a week! Love their food court and bakery!

Good selection of produce and fish. Problem for me as a non Korean or Hispanic is if I don't speak Korean or Spanish, it is so difficult to get help in finding an item. So I just shop whatever I can see and don't even bother to find out if they have the item I'm looking for. I typically end up in another grocery store to complete my shopping and H-Mart misses out on the rest of my grocery shopping dollars.
The store is always clean, well organized, and prices marked on everything very clearly. Parking gets on the crowded side at times.

Public toilet is outside of the store, but still in the "mall". It is in the food court. Men's toilet always stinks as you walk in.

But just looking at the stuff carried at H-Mart and the quality, specially of the produce and meat and fish, this is a great store.

Amazing variety of groceries and house goods! Some products are more expensive than at other stores around the area, but the sale prices are phenomenal! The food court inside has a great variety of cuisine to choose from for reasonable prices.

This store was a savings grace for me. When working on a budget for food I was always scrapping by the supermarkets for your usual meals. When I discovered the affordability of Asian cooking this was my haven. Their prices are stellar on all the condements, and fixings. Their produce was surprisingly fresh, and had a wider variety than even wholefoods. They stock a lot of other goods too for the home and kitchen. I got some really cool bento boxes for my girl friends work lunches. And let me tel you, she became super popular as all her co-workers would come up and see what she brought each day while they only had items from the vending machine. I learned how to make sushi, spring rolls, pho noodle dishes, and great salads. All provided by H Mart's awesome selection. They also have a great food court here and I always made an effort to stop and get some pho chicken before doing my shopping.

Many promotions and quick check out are the pros for this store. Clean and not so crowed and also the food court is very convenient.

Very strong stale fishy smell at the back of the store where "live" seafood is. Sometimes some fruits rotting and veggies too.

Can we talk! Food Court, heaven sent with multiple delicious choices everywhere. The cream puffs are to die for. Sushi Heaven, oodles of noodles and fried fish to delight. Let's not forget the Coconut Curry of Nepal. Is their anything that H Mart doesn't have? Endless choices here.
