  I am visiting from out of town and one of my dogs had an emergency. They told me to come right over and got us in right away. The staff at the front, the vet tech, and the vet herself were all so wonderful! It was such a pleasant experience for such a scary situation. They were so sweet with my dog and really took the time to explain to me what was going on and address my questions. Prices were very reasonable as well. If i lived here i would absolutely continue going to this office. Highly recommend.

  Gulf Gate Animal Hospital was not our regular vet but they we're able to see my cat quickly in an emergency, life threatening situation. They quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem. Their communication and customer service is amazing. Dr. Cole even took time out of his Sunday to check on my cat after he was sent home. Hopefully we won't need a vet again for awhile but if we do, we will definitely be taking our pets to Dr. Cole.

  Dr Ed is wonderful. I brought my Chihuahua,Chewy into him and after
  a thorough exam he was able to
  Accurately access what was hurting
  him. I brought Chewy in there on
  a Friday and on Monday,Dr Ed took
  time at 7pm ish to call me to see how
  Chewy was feeling. And he was healing
  very well. I'm extremely happy at
  Gulf Gate Animal Hospital.

  I have begun taking my chihuahua Charles here, after hearing wonderful things from so many different friends in the area. I work at a local pet resort, so I heard these wonderful things from people with pets of all sizes/breeds/shapes. I immediately felt comforted by the extremely friendly staff when I walked in for my dog's first appointment. Everything was explained very thoroughly, but in terms you don't need a veterinary degree to understand. They took my dog's individuality into account rather than giving me blanket answers to the general questions I had. I never once felt as though they were trying to dupe me or sell me on services/products I didn't want or need - what a refreshing feeling! Every visit reassures me I made the right decision in trusting Gulf Gate AH with my dog's healthcare.

  Love this place! I had a sick snake and needed treatment and a place to keep him while out of town, they accepted with open arms and took great care of him. All employees are kind and knowledgeable, would 100% recommend! Everyone there went above and beyond my expectations, you can tell they genuinely care and want the best for your pet. My snake improved greatly in their care and I can't thank them enough for all of their help. Will be coming back to them as long as possible, Benny the ball python says thank you!

  After a move across town I found Gulf Gate Animal Hospital and I couldn't be more happy about my decision. Dr. Cole has been wonderful with my 185 pound Presa Canario. She takes her time and really does a wonderful job asking questions and going over everything in great detail. This saturday I made a last minute appointment and they got me in for the last appointment of the day. She didn't rush at all and went above and beyond checking everything on our boy. Thank you to the staff for making this transition as comfortable as possible and making us feel apart of the Gulf Gate Animal Hospital Family. I Highly recommend anyone looking for a vet to use Gulf Gate Animal Hospital

  We recently lost our 17-1/2 yr. old dachshund, Gus. I called Gulf Gate Animal Hospital to make cremation arrangements and they couldn't have been more caring. A few days later I received a card from the hospital saying they'd made a donation to an animal rescue in Gus's name. I was very touched by their thoughtfulness. The company that did the cremation was also wonderful. Gus's cremated ashes arrived in a lovely wooden box in a velvet pouch, along with a card and a plaster paw print. Overall Gulf Gate Animal Hospital made a very difficult time much less painful.

  Took all the time I needed to go over any questions I had regarding our new puppy. Explained what they were doing during his check up, a were so gentle that he began to fall asleep on the examination table.

  I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone at Gulf Gate Vet.
  Everyone is just so caring and friendly. They really treat your pet like their own. All 3 vets are great and willing to help you get the best treatment for your pet. Thank You All.

  Dr. Edward Cole is top notch with rabbits. He seems very intuitive and never put me through unnecessary tests. He has always helped my rabbits with the most gentle and natural treatments.

  My dog Jacko, who was a big breed dog (Labrador/Rotweiler mix), lived to be 16 years old. He fetched his ball with gusto every day up until his last week. I credit this longevity and quality to TLC and good medicine from Gulf Gate Animal Clinic's Doctors Edward and Jeanette. When Jacko was on his final legs, Dr. Edward actually came out to our home to allow him to journey on to that big dog park in the sky from the comfort of his own home. Their clinical ability and compassionate care has to be experienced to be believed. If anyone actually took the trouble to look at the qualifications and results of these vets, they would not dream of going anywhere else. No doubt, they are by far the best in Sarasota.

  Dr. Edward Cole is amazing. He charges like a regular general practice vet--actually on the inexpensive side...and yet has a surgery residency from Cambridge, Mass. He performs miracles with his hands with a better outcome than vets who are surgical specialists. If he was allowed to operate on humans, I would let him fix what ails me. This is a fabulous husband and wife team with Dr. Jeanette Cole an equally talented member. She is so thorough and compassionate and does not miss a beat. They regularly consult on cases so your getting two great healers for the price of one. I would never go anywhere else...nor would, Jacko, Violet, Valkery, Kitkat, Tiger, Abby or Sweetpea. Thanks to their care, my Rottweiler/Lab mix lived to be 16 (unheard of for such a big dog) and Dr. Ed even came to my house to make his journey to that big dog park in the sky less stressful.
