  The staff is very nice; however, the quality of product they provide is terrible. I was very disappointed with the cake I ordered for my boyfriend's birthday. The end result looked nothing like the several images I provided to the bakery. The lettering, color, and consistency was terrible and looked no better than if I were to make the cake myself. I am not one to be picky and critical; however, I really wanted the cake to be perfect and it was nothing short of unacceptable. I definitely will not be using their services in the future.

  Gretchen's is absolutely wonderful. This business is locally owned and operated. Definitely an asset to Mauldin. Everything I have purchased (custom or in-store purchase) was carefully and made with pride. Utilize this establishment for all your bakery needs. I can also find all unique baking needs there, and if I can't find it in-store Heather Johnson will find it for me. They go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service. Thank you!

  I have to give a huge shout out to Gretchen's for once again coming through with two beautiful and delicious cakes last night. We celebrated the life of our dear friend Stacy Ramey and the birthday of another great friend, Christy Sutton. Their cakes are always perfect and delicious but the heart, love and care that this family puts into everything they make is indescribable. Thank you, Gretchen's and I pray that your family and your business are richly blessed!

  I buy all my kids' birthday cakes from here. I have also used Gretchen's for special events like baby and wedding showers. They are always created with extra care and are so delicious! I even took a cake to a baby shower cities away. There were people there that knew the cake was from Gretchen's based on how great it tasted. You just can beat that place!

  Gretchen's ABS Cakes designed and baked both my and my brother's wedding cakes and did an absolutely fabulous job! I highly recommend them to every bride I know! Gretchen's is also my family's go-to bakery for special occasion cakes and other goodies. The quality and consistency of their baked goods can't be beat! And I've always found the staff there to be so courteous, friendly, and professional. Gretchen herself is absolutely delightful and made the processes of selecting a wedding cake so enjoyable and stress-free! Rest assured, once you give them a try you will be going back time and time again!

  First of all, great LOCAL people to conduct business with!! A LOT OF VALUE for the price! Although the aesthetics were not perfect, it was put together very nice and presentable. We had our daughters first birthday party and everyone was asking "OMG where'd you get the cake done?? Did you spend $250 on this huge cake?" When I tell them I spent $80 on the cake, everyone couldn't believe it!!! My family is not all big on cake, however, THIS CAKE WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!! (White cake very creamy and the strawberry cake was like none ive ever tasted.) I definitely recommend their cakes over Publix, Bi-Lo, etc. If you read this review and decide to give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

  This bakery made our daughter's birthday cake for the past two years in a row. The cakes are consistently delicious and beautiful as well. Most importantly, they go above and beyond to meet the needs of their customers. I highly recommend this bakery!
