This mall has probably seen better days, but it's still the best shopping option in the area. They have plenty of parking, and it's easy to get in and out of the area. We do really enjoy the bookstore here, and the mall is usually fairly clean and quiet.
Anchor store is a bass pro shop, a really large one. They do special events for the holidays and have lots of things to do and places to let kids run around and look at things. It is definitely an outdoor kind of store, with stuffed and taxidermy everywhere. But if there is something you need, they have it. A little pricey, but there are always a lot of people there.
It's good for cloths shopping for sure. then you have your perfumes and scented items around. Then your accessories everywhere else.
This mall was at it's peak in the 70s. Now it is just a quiet mall in a large metro area. It was recently remodeled and is clean and well kept. It is quiet place to walk. There aren't many places to eat, the DQ recently closed. Only the Texas Roadhouse is a real sit-down casual dining place. It usually makes a comeback each year for the Christmas shopping season.
Update: 7 November 2017
Sears has closed and store is empty. It's sad. Sears was the original anchor store when they left downtown New Albany. I hope they find a replacement or this mall is doomed.
Most of the stores I really like are no longer there but they still have a good selection. They have a Hot Topic, H&M, Rue21, JCPenny, Sephora, Claire's, to name a few.
Not a place for people who get annoyed easily. Kids and teeny hoppers everywhere walking into things because they are nostril deep into their phones. If you can handle the crowd it is a wonderful place to shop.
Definitely needs more stores added. Overall, very clean. Would love to things to do for youngins and less jewelry stores.
I am from Louisville and the Geeentree Mall is very different from the malls in Louisville. Too many teens working there and that is a huge customer service no-no. They act as if you are bothering them if you ask them a question, like they are just there to ring you up and not assist you in any other way. The Sears store is the worst I have ever been in period and now that it is closing,it's gotten worse. Not all the store are like this but the bad out way the good.
Relatively clean, most businesses are very friendly. Surprisingly they close at 9 everyday instead of being open an hour later on peak days like Friday and Saturday. Good selection of stores. Affordable prices/more on the pricey side but nothing out of the ordinary for a mall.
I wish it wasn't, but this mall is struggling. There's high vacancies, and it's tied to a Sears that's probably about to close. Lewis and Clark parkway used to be a pretty hopping place, but slowly it's kind of becoming a mix match of thrift stores, vape shops, pawn shops, and fast food. If you're thinking about driving out of your way for it, just don't bother.
The menswear department of jcpenney is the messiest store I have ever seen, but they had everything I needed and some good sales. You have to look very hard because things are every where. It literally looks like a tornado has gone through. I mostly don't mind but I feel like it did take longer than I would have liked because I had to look harder for everything.
Only place to go to get good clothes on this side of the river. Plus books. Hot Topic is still here as well.

Mall has been around for a long time and is part of my childhood. A lot of changes over the years ,for the better. But still would love to see Aladdin castle back there. At the end of the day love that mall.
