When the bus stopped at a sight seeing area, we all got off. Next thing you know 2 minutes later the bus leaves while we are still outside. Terrible service. When we were about to book their tours, we could hear one of their employees taking a high and mean tone with one of the customers over the phone. The guy on the end of the phone wanted a refund as I knew this since the employee told the customer it wasn't their fault, he missed the tour bus. To this day, I remember how the Gray line tours were the worst and unappreciated. In the end I missed practically all of the tour and never got a refund.

Horrible experience. No live tour guide for first part of trip. We were given earphones to plug in but the file was either way behind or way ahead due to traffic and was not adjusted. I believe that the driver did not speak much English and could not keep the audio in sync. We hopped off At a stop and had to wait a very, very long time in the cold for the bus to pick us back up. In the meantime, another tour bus had two of their buses to come during the interim for pickups of its customers. When the Grayline bus finally came they had a tour guide but only people sitting by him could hear him. The mic must not have worked. He was sitting among the guest. We could not hear him so we used the earphones to hear the virtual guide. We have put Grayline on our list as Never Use Again. The experience was awful. I hope the others who were waiting and complaining with us will share their experience.

What didn't we get to see... in two days on gray lines D.C. In a day and Virginia in a day tours I feel like my head is spinning! We saw more than we came for and we're so impressed! I feel like this was the most efficient way to see our nations capitol! In a busy city it helps to have a tour guide to explain all the right moves to make at every attraction! Drivers were more than informative and extremely courteous!

Grayline is the best touring company hands down, informative and interesting tours ; Very affordable tickets and lovely representatives, Grayline is ran by Martz and has no affiliation with any other transportation services so before you write a bad review please make sure you know which company you are writing a review for a which bus you are supposed to be boarding, you cannot blame this company for your lack of knowledge on where to go they work Martz, and can't give you information they do not know.

I would suggest, find another service. Went through Viator (terrible customer service). Booked my tour weeks in advance, got into DC and found out that Viator has sold me a tour on a day that Grayline did not even operate that tour on. Avoid Viator completely....

I took several tours with Gray Line around D.C., and also to the Presidents homes. The tours were very good. The bus drivers were very good about explaining the history about what we were going to be seeing. Also they were good about giving us clear cut directions of what to do, and where to meet up after the tours. Customer service was really good about telling us where to wait for the buses after checking in.

Should be called "Getto Tours!" Please don't waste your time and money.

I was surprised by the lower ratings of this tour company. I can't speak for anyone else's experiences. My experience was excellent. I booked the Gettysburg tour from DC. The tour took about 10.5 hours. The value per price of this tour is amazing. My customer service interactions were satisfactory, the bus was clean, and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Very happy!

We went on the night tour with our 3 kids ages 9, 7, & 3. Advice!!!! if you go on the night tour: Pack snacks!! There are no places open to grap food and the tour was much longer than the 3 hours the website says. Also dress warm!!!!!!! Really warm, we were on a double decker bus with an open top, We had NO idea we would be on an open top bus for a night tour! & we were given no warning. It gets cold even on a 78* day come night time, on top of a bus wind blowing, it gets cold and there are not enough seats in the bottom part for people to move to if they are too cold. 2 jackets, gloves, pants, hat, face masks, and blankets would have made our tour 100% better. They picked up us from the cherry hill RV park where we were staying and brought us back at the end of the tour. That was nice. All the stops were great! enough time to take pictures and get back on, also the night tours are way less crowded, we were able to get close and see everything, the people next to us said they did the day tour and just waited in line and never got to see up close because there was too many people. So that was great. We had a good bus driver and other than being freezing cold it was fun! My husband and kid went up top and my other 2 kids and myself sat in the bottom of the bus so we could switch as the kids got too cold and we were able to keep our bottom seats saved that way.

My experience with this company was good. Tour started on time without any problems with bus or booking. Tour guide was nice and there was a good balance between number of places to visit and free time at each site.

The bus smelled terribly like rotten eggs. It gave us all a sore throat and headaches. I got stomach cramps from it. When one passenger complained about the smell, the driver yelled at him and told him to get off the bus or he would call the police.
The driver drove to the bus depot and left us there without telling us what was going on. When a new driver came, she noticed immediately the terrible smell and took us all on a new bus. When I called the company to complain I was told a manager would call me back, which I am still waiting for a week later.
