After a day of Christmas shopping with my son we arrived at Grassfields in Andover and asked the hostess if it was OK to sit in a booth on the bar side. She said fine. We then sat in the booth for at least 20 minutes with a waitress walking by us twice and the bartender doing busy work at a near empty bar. At one point I went up to the hostess station to ask for menus but even still we did not get any service. I then heard the waitress and bartender debating who was going to handle our booth. This was 4:45PM on a Tuesday and the whole restaurant was nearly empty. At this point and after a good 20 minutes without a single person coming to our booth, my son and I left the restaurant to go to another restaurant that might value our business. We have been going to Jimmy's restaurants for years but this was so disappointing and frustrating we won't be back. By the way I clearly heard the waitress after 20 minutes of ignoring us ask the bartender if he wanted to take booth 1 where we were seated and he said NO. Definitely need better management and employees who care.

A very popular place with locals. A varied menu moderately priced entrees. Salad meals. Appetizers are varied ,my favorite is the zucchini sticks. They advertise drink specials as you enter. Micro brews available . A very comfortable dining . Dinner rush is between 5-6:30 . Grassfields is open til 10pm. Oh, one more thing they also offer dinner entree specials. I had their blackened salmon which came with a mango salsa😋.

If you like an older crowd, it's a nice place. The food was good and the waitress was very nice. I'm from another city and it was fun to hear her talk. When I got back to the house we were staying in the people there said that that restaurant was a little bit more uppity. I didn't see it the bill was pretty standard I think it was $40 for three of us

If you're in the mood for rack of lamb this place is excellent. Superbly cooked and so delicious and tender. The side of butternut squash was great as well. The prices are so reasonable. They also have great seafood, sandwiches and steaks. It's a restaurant we visit often and hasn't disappointed ever.

Great food and service. Nice casual atmosphere. I had the race of lamb, my wife the planned salmon. Both were done perfectly. We will be back.

Stopped here twice while on business. Fantastic local restaurant that really knows their steak. Ordered a crab pie and sirloin first time and the lobster pie and teryaki steak tips the second time and both were fantastic! Waitresses were great both times, highly recommend this place.

Always excellent food, service.
Our favorite is salmon with their special rice (spinach,butter and white rice). Steak, scallops , fish and seasonal special salads. Save room for coffee & dessert. Their puddings are very good and ask for the daily special. Lunch menu until 3:30, then goes to dinner menu. Sunday = no lunch menu.. just dinner (more $ and bigger portions). If you cant finish and taking home, we always get rice order to go also.

We have been coming to Grassfields for years now. The quality of the food had never changed and has ALWAYS been absolutely delicious. This past time my fiance for an aged steak and it was so delicious It literally melted in your mouth when eating it. The scallops have always been a favorite of mine and the steak tips are great too! The waitresses were very nice too. The only thing is this past time a woman who I believed was the manager who was helping the front staff was pretty annoying and rude. First we couldn't book reservations for a 13 plus person party which was fine because I know most places don't but when we got there and had been waiting for over an hour the woman told us if our entire party wasn't there then she would give our table away and we would not be seated .. Anyways other than that I will always return back there.

Consistently good. Caters to an older crowd. Does not take reservations so there can be a wait. If you go late, let's say 8:00, there will be no problem since the regular clientele is in bed. The menu is not large but everything is fresh and well made. I particularly like the coconut shrimp and stuffed mushroom appetizers. Great entrees include steak tips and teriyaki chicken. They sell a lot of scrod, so it's very fresh. Not a lot of vegetarian selections but the Mediterranean salad is delicious.
