One hour parking is available in the parking lot next to the library. You must get the ticket validated by a small machine in the lobby. Nice kids area with dress up, trains, and kitchen.

The staff are great and will do everything possible to help you. Yes, there are some homeless people but I've never had a problem with them and security is around if needed. Great selection of books for me and books and activities for my kids. As far as cleanliness goes. I've only had one time that the bathroom was bad and then we just went to a different floors bathroom. Overall it is a great place for me and my kids

A prime spot for bums to hang out. Very disgruntled security gaurds who harass anyone, can't say I blame them though given the constant duty of waking up the drunks always looking to pass out. Severe problems with cleanliness, bathrooms always have urine on the floor and seats and everything is always sticky. Not just the bathrooms, EVERYTHING here is sticky. Its a public venue in the middle of the city very close to other havens of filth Unfortunate, as the good people can't enjoy the library for what its meant for.

The building itself has some beautiful architecture, reminiscent of better times in the history of GR. Also their selection is decent, especially digital media. It could be a great place, if it didnt double as a hotel for vagrants and the limited staff could catch up on maintenance.

If youre a computer person and know anything about networking / security, check out their computer system for a good chuckle. Definitely lowest bid kind of junk.

Its well staffed, well lit, great hours, great programs for all ages, its clean, and it has lots of books, of course! If they don't have a book that you need they will find it from one of the other Kent County Libraries

Took each of our grandchildren to the GR main library It has a great selection of children's books, a nice reading and play area. They also offer various children's programs.

I love this library! Parking is handy in the lot or at a meter. There are aisles and shelves of CDs and DVDs. I find great new children's books here, but I'm often disappointed by the new options for my own reading. I go to another location or put books I really want to read on hold, so I definitely won't mark the library down for that!

Worth the visit for tile-work and marble, but also a goldmine for genealogists looking for information, especially pertaining to - but not limited - to Western Michigan.

Cool building and a clean interior. Parking usually available close to location. Did have an issue with an intoxicated person just hanging out at one of the tables, otherwise a quiet and educational experience.
