VERY BEAUTIFUL PLACE..!! VERY GREAT SERVICES. STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THERE'S A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN HOLD STROLLERS & YOUR COATS..!! I REALLY LIKE IT HERE. FIRST TIME BEING THERE AND I WOULD GO BACK.

What a beautiful place. I had so much fun exploring this space and listening to the music in the ballroom. I felt like Marie Antoinette with the Victorian decor on the ceilings.

Was an awful experience. I wouldn't recommend this place. Bad experience with the food, the staff, and the parking. You're better off somewhere else.

We were seated and started talking about the outdoor space with the server, the server told us we should go check out the inside space and told us how to get inside. We're inside looking at the hall and taking some pictures on our cellphone and this women comes out of nowhere and starts yelling at us. There was no in-between, she was nasty from the moment she opened her mouth. I explained that the server told us to come inside, check it out, and take some pictures but she just continued yelling at us. Went back outside to our table the server asked us what we thought and I explained what happened and they were not at all surprised that this woman had gone off. Apparently that's the kind of people they work for.

Save yourself a bad experience, after this I can tell you there's nothing worth having an experience like this. Just truly awful people and unappealing food. You'll see it expressed time and again in other peoples comments here. It's not worth it to put yourself through this.

Beautiful event space for graduation, weddings and more . Professional staff , good food , fully stocked bar and valet parking . Multiple rooms to choose from a bit on the traditional side

Another review wrote something along the lines of, "where bad taste goes to die." They're right. This place could be beautiful but the combination of colors is just a sensory overload in the main ballroom. They don't allow in outside food or drink either (not even water bottles), so you're forced to buy their overpriced stuff.

The mezzanine sections of the main ballroom are a bit to be left desired too. The 3rd level looks like it is unfinished and that you could even possibly fall through.

The nearest hotels are in downtown Brooklyn, making coming here a total pain in the butt. If you have an event here, just use an airbnb.

Had an event here. The building itself is beautiful and huge. It was fun exploring and taking pictures.

I attended an event a few days ago at Grand Prospect Hall and i was super impressed. The moment I walked in the door I was in awe, such a beautiful venue - absolutely one of a kind! Apart from the amazing look of the place I must say the food and service were top notch. I am not personally having an event any time soon, but if i were i'd 100% use the Grand Prospect Hall.

I have been to this establishment twice, and each time was awful. The place is extremely dilapidated, the service is awful, and the food is bad. Like others have mentioned is not very handicapped accessible; it's all stairs and a scary little ancient elevator.

The place is old. It seems it is not maintained well, or really not at all..There are cracks all over the walls, carpeting older than your grandparents, and dust in every corner.

THIS PLACE IS A GAUDY, TACKY , CHEAP, DISGUSTING, FILTHY ESTABLISHMENT WITH GARBAGE FOOD..

The decorations and ambiance are just tasteless, tacky, gaudy, and cheap. FAKE GOLD THROWN AROUND EVERYWHERE DOESN'T EQUAL CLASS when you can't even dust the place.Peggy Bundy has more taste than whoever decorated this place. The "Royalty feeling" they're aiming for is a joke. The place is over the top and plain freaking UGLY.

The staff were really unattentive, almost like wall decorations that moved every now and again. The food was mediocre at best, Wendy's chicken being more flavorful and juicy. Also, it's like the waitstaff cleared your plate about 10 minutes after serving you. It's like they know how bad and inedible the food is, they save you the time.

And the place wasn't heated at all. I was here twice in the winter, it wasn't warm out. It was like being in a freezer. This place can't even spring on cleaning let alone heat. I love dressing up to go out and feel sick afterI felt ill after both times I was herebut hey it could have also been the food that made me sick lol.

Was invited here a third time and passed. I'd rather stay home where it's cleaner, warmer, and the foods better.NEVER EVER coming back here or recommending itin fact you couldn't pay me enough to return.

Someone else described this place perfectly " it is where good taste goes to die. "

This place is a train wreck. It's consistently bad. This place is an atrocious mess of gaudy decor, dirt, dust, based service, and awful food.

Ambiance - This place screams tacky. God awful fake gold splashed everywhere on top of years of layers of ancient dust and tacky fake muralshow is that classy? Whoever decorated this place has the taste of someone living in a low-budget mafia movie from the 80s. It doesn't seem like they clean or maintain it either. It's always freezing here and there are cracks all over the walls.

Food- I can't tell what's worse - the food or the actual establishment. The food is the driest I have ever had the unpleasant misfortune of trying. It's like trying to pass off cardboard as edible.

Staff- very unattentive. It's like they hate it as much as the patrons. They are also extremely unhelpful and clear your plates before even asking if you're donebut the food is so terrible they're probably just saving you the time.

You couldn't pay me enough to come back here. This place is just as horrific as their atrocious commercials. Save yourself the time and money and go to McDonald's if you want something more appetizing.

They should really change their slogan to "We make your nightmares come true."

One star review because I couldn't give zero

Grand venue, but experience ruined by totally incompetent management. We were there for New Years Eve party 2017 and paid $165 - for spending most of the evening waiting in lines! First, 40min outside the building to get in (everybody had tickets, they were just incredibly slow to check people in and did not use scanners which would have been 10x faster). Half hour at the coat check. Then again to buy drink tickets, and again to redeem them for drinks! Lots of people were upset about the poor organization. We lined up at 11:25pm for champagne and still ended up without drinks for toasting at midnight. I have never been at a New Years party where so many people ended up being sober, and the venue must have missed out on tens of thousands of dollars in missed business opportunity. It was incredible to witness so much incompetence. Never again!
