After much soul-searching and numerous appointments at a variety of memory care facilities, we chose Grand Brook at Zionsville. (Thank you Mark.) It is a small facility with only 36 residents. Staff know the names of all the residents and many of their families. And families come to know and interact with other residents as well.

My partner of more than 30 years moved into Grand Brook over a year ago when Covid was very much still an issue. All staff have been part of the team whose priority was to prevent and minimize the impact of the virus throughout the worst of times; this care and concern continues today. Good communication among staff, residents, and their families is a critically important part of residential care. I believe I can reach out to staff at any time and know that my questions or concerns are a priority and I know that staff also are quick to respond to my partner’s questions or concerns as well. (Thank you every one!)

At Grand Brook, my partner has found a new home and an extended family. She enjoys the freedom to walk to see and interact with friends, to read in the beautiful and secure garden, and to participate in many planned activities with residents and staff. In short, even with Alzheimer’s, my partner is happily choosing how to arrange her days in a caring community with good friends and support among both residents and staff.

I am so very, very fortunate to have found a place for my loved one where I know she is safe and happy!

Individual rooms are spacious. Residents spend most of their time in the common areas enjoying a variety of activities. I loved the holiday celebrations, especially when I would see the videos. I remember one in particular when my mom was dancing with a staff member.
The common areas are decorated lovely. Residents can move from one residential side to the other. Some residents like to walk and this allows them freedom of movement.
The outdoor gardens provides many places to have family visits. I truly enjoyed visiting in the garden area.
My mother lived there for 2 years. She arrived two days before the pandemic shutdown. Those were tough times for all but Grandbrook connected us through Facetime calls. That was so nice and thoughtful.
The staff was always considerate and helpful. You could tell many loved my mom.
I found Grandbrook to be a caring community with a heart!

The nurses have exceptional compassion and truly care about the well being of their residents. I called and asked a few questions. I was very impressed with their answers. I would feel very comfortable placing my family member here when the time comes.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. They do not take care of your loved ones in the way that they should be in the way that they advertise. We are pulling my grandmother out ASAP. She has fallen in multiple times and been to the hospital multiple times and every single time that we visit my grandmother something just happens. No phone caller and nothing. Everything always just happens.

In March of 2021 my brother and I began a search for our mother for a Memory Care facility. With the help of A Place for Mom we learned about our options in the Zionsville/Carmel area. After visiting 6 separate facilities it was clear to us that Grand Brook Zionsville would be our selection. When we pulled into the parking lot on the day of our visit it was obvious that the facility was well maintained, not to mention beautiful. We met with the facility Sales and Marketing Manager, Mark Wallis, and he took the time to address all our questions as well as give us a tour of the facility. The large private bedrooms, large common areas for residents to gather, and the open concept of the kitchen made a wonderful impression on us that day. We were also introduced to some of the care staff and have found them to be wonderful care providers for all of moms needs. Soon after our visit the staff at Grand Brook helped us to navigate the move and mom became a resident. We could not be happier with Grand Brook and the care they have provided mom. If you are searching for a wonderful facility for your loved one, Grand Brook Zionsville should be at the top of your list!
