  I can count on one hand the number of times I've ever taken the time to write a review. But every once in a while you have an experience that is so extraordinarily good or bad that you are compelled to say something. Too long a storybottom line what was to take 4 days more than a week later had no ETA. No solutions offered other than wait for a seat shim that could take a couple weeks "or so".no alternatives. I leave frustrated. Call back to see what size seat post I need. Am told 27.2. Order one online that is guaranteed 2 day delivery. Call back to see if they did the tuneupam told no, they need the seat post because that's how their workbench holds the bike. At the end of the day I take it to S&Wthey have a work bench that can hold a bike without a seat post apparently. While there I ask them to double checksure enough, Goodales gave me the wrong size for the seat post! S&W can get what in need in 4 days and will have me ready for vacation. Save yourself the headache and the time, talk to people who will make an effort to help - go to S&W.

  I am riding my 11th Trek Across Maine this coming weekend. Thursday a group of us ride up to Sunday River from North Berwick. Yesterday my RD shift paddle failed and broke off. I was in a panic & called several local shops, including one I'd done several grand with this spring. Goodale's in Concord was not that shop but Joe came through and swapped out shifters from another of my bikes and I'm back on the road today.

  Ive bought a few things here, mainly small things. But when I as ready for a bike, I asked them to work with me on price even a little, they said no. I walked out and they lost my business. S&W in town DID work with me and I bought my $3500 bike there.

  I always used Goodale's, I have bought two bikes and service them there too. Good selection of clothing, gear, and components which is hard to find with the internet killing the retail industry. I would ignore one negative review about a broken chain and long service time, I am always surprised by how quick they fix my rides.
  
  Another sweet experience from Goodale's, brought a 15 year old Cannondale in for a bad HeadShok, they replaced it with parts I never could have found and it rides like new now. Best part was the price, these guys really hooked it up.

  well first of all i bought a bmx bike from the goodales branch in hookset, and within the first 5 months the chain snapped twice i repaired it once but the secound time it was beyond my skill levle to repair. so i attempted to call the concord branch because i live closer to that location. i called about 6 times and NO ONE! answered. i would not recomend buying ANYTHING! at all from this store due to their horrible service!

  They were not thorough in fixing a bike we brought in. They told us it would be done in 2 weeks and it took a month. We had to continue to call them because they would not call us to let us know what was going on and when the bike would be ready.
  They did help load the bike into my ar though.
