From the very beginning there was a lack of communication. I would have to bug them for weeks to get any updates about my case, as most of the time they wouldn’t even answer or would send an email saying they were out of town. After a year of consistently having to be on their case about keeping me updated I closed my case. Information about my case was given out to a family member of mine. Which caused great issues for me in my personal life. They apologized and said there would be “disciplinary action”. This cause me to be left basically homeless. They belittled the significance of my case because of my age from the very beginning. The tiny “compensation” they gave me for their mistake wasn’t even enough to cover one month of rent. They said since it wasn’t a large amount of information that was given out it was the best they could do. As LAWYERS working in LAW they should know better. I did not plan on making a big deal about any of it but due to the position THEIR mistake put me in I’m now at one of the lowest points in my life. No apologies can repair even half of the damage they have caused.
