Description

We are both freshman at Arizona State University who are running for Senate in Undergraduate Student Government (USG). Our platform is based on two key ideas – campus safety and cultural respect.

Campus safety, especially in the form of sexual assault, has become an issue that demands action. As the nation's most innovative university, we believe it is our responsibility to combat this epidemic. As Senators, we will:

-Revitalize the "Safety Escort" program and ensure that every student is able to receive a ride within the appropriate amount of time.
-Continue the legacy of innovation on campus by partnering with Uber to assist in the influx of requests that the Safety Escort program receives.
-With Uber, we will ensure that no student is left behind by broadening the area in which the Safety Escort program operates.

Arizona State is one of the nation's leaders in campus diversity. With over 135 countries represented at ASU, it will be our duty to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, can call ASU their home. We will:

-Prevent any form of discrimination based on cultural, religious, racial, or sexual orientation.
-Ensure that USG only deals with issues within its jurisdiction.
-Meet with a variety of cultural clubs to ensure that their needs are represented in Student Government.
