In a world where climate change-related crises worsen, the education system plays a necessary role in empowering people with knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes to act as agents of change. Even without climate-related challenges, the education systems in the majority of low- and middle-income countries are stuck in perpetual failure, children are learning very little in school. These issues demonstrate the need for strong foundational skills- literacy, numeracy, and core socio-emotional skill- because they act as a key resilience factor. In addition, "green" skills are emerging as a viable solution for tackling future climate challenges. These skills include advanced technical skills in engineering, science, operational management, and monitoring. It also includes more basic skills, such as sustainable agricultural or cooking practices. The difficult part is that in low-income countries, 90% of children are in learning poverty- not being able to read by age 10. Without basic and foundational skills, it's very difficult to develop highly advanced technical skills. We have made it our goal to help students around the globe develop foundational skills to aid their future goals and build a sustainable future.
