Richard, owner of Ginja Bay Cafe was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He migrated to Chicago where he owned and ran an auto- collision business for 32 years. He moved to Tampa 6 ago and is fulfilling his dream of owning a restaurant. Richard has always had a passion for cooking which he attributes to his family's love for cooking. Some of his favorite items are Jerk chicken, Jerk pork and rice and peas which are cooked in the same way as in Jamaica. Richard takes pride in making sure each dish meets his high expectations for quality. He considers himself a perfectionist. He takes time to prepare the meals and is particular about the quality of meats, seafood and vegetables that are used. He is health conscious and seeks to deliver the best to his customers. The meals at Ginjabay cafe are like home-made Jamaican food, fresh and delicious and that is just the way Richard wants it to be.
