Has all the hardware you need and a friendly staff.
I would consider myself a rather patient person. I have an autistic brother, I have a toddler and a baby, and I am a high school teacher. But I've really had enough. I went to Gillman Home Center in mid October 2016. I was on fall break when I discovered a small crack in my window. After a few hours (and yes - wiping down the window) the cut went completely across. I built my house in 2013 and the window broke after 3 years. I spent - roughly and conservatively- $30,000 at Gillman's. (I then went on to build a house for my parents where I recommended they go through Gillman's and they too spent at least that same amount in 2015.) So when the window cracked, I went to Gillman's to get a new one. I didn't ask they pay for it or demand it to be under a warranty. I gave them the specs, the company who manufactured the window, the color, everything. I asked them if they could please call me when it got in and then asked if they could get it in before the snow started flying (so beginning of December 2016.) They said that wouldn't be a problem. I left. My husband returned to the store in November - no window yet. Okay. I returned in December. No window. Okay. I returned in January. I was about 12 weeks pregnant then and sick and tired. And I wanted my window fixed. But no window. My husband returned in February. No window. I returned in March over my spring break. No window. *big sigh* Okay. My husband returned in April and May. I in June (twice), and in July, and still no window. I then birthed a human in August. I returned in September - 11 months after I went in - and Gillman's still couldn't get my window in. I grew a human faster than they could order me a window. I (now still on maternity leave) go in every week and ask about my window. I have for the past five weeks. I've been told lots of delightful stories about this window. "We are trying to get ahold of a rep." "I called about it last week." "What was it you ordered?" "It is on a truck and will be here Thursday." And many many (MANY) more. I am not one to write negative reviews. And I don't personally want to hurt anybody's feelings, but if this posting can help me get my window before another winter, I would be so happy. (And I guess if it delays the process, well, let's just say I'm used to it.) So, Gillman's, for (literally) the 19th time where's my window?
After talking with mr gillman's from gillman's home center .Mr gillman and I are talking to come to a agreement on the lift I rented.as I am hope full in this ,I am still waiting .as they say we will see. It was nice to talk to someone who cared and can understand from my point of view. That is the way BUSSNESS should be done.
Rented a floor sander to do some hardwood flooring, Bill at the rental station was very very nice. He help me find the right sandpaper as much as I needed and then some extra just in case. Even help me find something that I could do the corners with. It's a very good experience.
Super helpful and this place has everything!
Very helpful place.
I usually find what I was looking for here. The employees are helpful but not annoying like some places.
You can find everything you need and the staff is so helpful!
