Interesting place to dive.
It’s a bit pricy @ $28 to dive and $10 to park.

Great place to get open water certification. If you stay at the Drury Inn in Findlay, tell them you're going to dive at Gilboa Quarry and they'll give you a really good discount!

Great diving, great night dives. 40ft vis, September surface temp over seventy, deep hole at 120ft.

Amazing time. It was very warm on the surface. Had no issue underwater. Lots to see. Plane, helicopter, bus and boats were cool to see.

Had a blast but the site says $50 for 2 days it's $56. Not a big deal but they only take cash. The owner was a prick about it it. I don't carry cash normally. He says they've tried to updates their site. It's not that hard to change 1 digit. If you can't update your own site and the regulars are still saying its $50 for 2 days then don't be such a hard A about it
If it cost what THEIR site said it was it'd be 5* , if there was a mix up as there currently is, but MR Grumpy pants was not so grumpy it'd be 4*response / report this review -

Overall this place is nice.
Friendly staff.
Price is affordable.
Might find it hard to find a good spot to lay out your gears, on holidays.

Great diving opportunity. Lots to see under water and Viz is usually pretty decent. If you're going on a weekend get there early. Newbies will kick the bottom and screw the Viz. Facility maintenance leaves something to be desired but don't let that keep you away.

Professional and courteous staff ( if you know what you are doing ) ! Incredible dive location with lots to see. It is best to visit with someone that has been there before. Because of our society's propensity for litigation do not expect any shortcuts here regarding safety and training. Bring your certification and don't forget your camera I was able to tour a new Bed and Breakfast the owner is going to operate and its a perfect compliment to the Quarry.

A pretty good place to dive. The quarry has a lot of sunken boats, a plane, a helicopter, and other things to see on a dive. It's only open for diving so it is a great place for training dives. Visibility is pretty good.

Midwest diving and divers are better off because Mike Williams pours his heart, soul, and life into making the best privately owned quarry around our region. Mike works "half days" during the week, meaning only 12 hours, because he needs to rest up for the insane 18 hours days Friday through Sunday. He's never stopped improving since purchasing this place in 1999 (or 2000?), and I remember the dump of a destination it was right when he took over. The biggest "negative" someone feels is that it is so incredibly busy during nice summer weekends, that there simply isn't enough staff or space to handle the demand. I wish that every small American business had that same problem - too popular at peak season. Just like at Cedar Point on nice summer days, too much demand and not enough supply. I don't hold it against Mike and his crew, so a little patience makes for a better weekend. If you want the most awesome experience, try coming down Friday morning or afternoon - what a treat with 60+ feet of Viz, fish all over, easy and quick cylinder fills, and so on. As a PADI Course Director and diver for 30+ years, I know how lucky my next student-divers will be because of Mike and Gilboa Quarry.
