We hold our family Christmas and 4th of July parties here. Very nice updated building. Parking is $5 but in my opinion should be on a donation basis. Sometimes people will give more.

This park is really awesome, especially for paddling. It's really neat to kayak though all of the Cypress trees. Just steer clear of the wasp nests.

Outdated toilets. Lil'Man, 5 yrs old, says the smell behind the mill was giving him a headache. Out of the mouths of babes shall come the truth. Come on now PU. If u bother to aerate, it won't smell. Doesn't have to b a huge undertaking, something low cost like what is used on koi ponds. Is it gonna smell purdy fur the Sugar Cane Festival too?

We were there for my grandma's 98th birthday celebration. Sadly she passed away 2 days later. But the building is brand new. My family and I really had a good time.

Incredibly beautiful and peaceful place. We have not camped yet since discovering, we have been back three times to kayak through the Cypress trees. Historical sawmill and great nature walks. Friendly and knowledgeable park rangers, clean restrooms and small shop with ice cream and drinks. Good idea to bring a picnic and spend the day exploring.

It was so much fun! There's a three mile nature trail with a spring, an abandoned turtle habitat, a minnow pond, and the old lake. There's kayaking, conoeing, paddle boating, and just all around fun.

Lake is large! Most camp sites are right on the water with easy access to the yellow trail from the site. It's very nice to not have to load/unload your canoe/kayak each day. Fishing is good. And the historic covered bridge/dam/grist mill is pretty neat!
