Great park! Really good views of lake Erie. This was in October and I was the only person there.

Went to Horizons for Thanksgiving buffet. The staff was super attentive and very friendly. The meal was traditional with turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffingthere were also some more exotic salads and the desserts were to die for! The cost is high and although I was glad not to spend the day in the kitchen, I also have no leftovers.
It is a beautiful place as well.

Beautiful place to hike or bike, trails are easy to follow. A lot of picnic areas. Nice restrooms. And pet friendly! Highly recommend!

Clean quiet swimming allowed but we didn't. Can't swear to the quality of the water. Thank God my skin is still intact.

I go tent camping here several times a year. Great state park, but some people don't take care of their sites. Bathrooms are very clean! All employees and rangers I have encountered are awesome.

We had the opportunity to enjoy one of the trails here when we visited and it was beautiful. We used the one that goes either side of the Beach House. We also drove a round the park to see what we were missing and it is a very nice park. It would be a wonderful place to go camping with the family.

We just tent camped at the park. I will list the good and the not so good.
    Good:
GREAT Location, easy to bicycle to town & beach, tons of trees, sites were far apart and felt more private than expected, electric at every site, paved pads, fire rings, nice enclosed fish cleaning area, bathrooms & water available near the sites. The office has a store with items you may need like firewood, ice, coffee and the staff were friendly and helpful.
    The Not So Good:
The sites themselves were not cleaned properly. many of the sites had past registration tags that were expired and it made it difficult to know what was truly available unless you knew the system, maybe taking a rake back there and picking up small trash after people check out might spruce it up a little, bathrooms were not clean - (they are better than an outhouse,) they need painted and a good cleaning. The last thing was the staff didn't show up to open the store in the AM. We waited until 30 minutes past the posted open hours and no one showed. Disappointed about that. Unfortunately, that seems to be what happens with summer help. It was a reoccurring theme in town as many places commented that workers were not showing up, those who did seemed stressed and not as pleasant as they should be at first impression.
If you can look past these things its a great little town and the price of food is cheap and staying at the park is cheap. We will go back again

Stayed in Cabins. nice, clean and breathtaking location. Website may say they are walk-to, but they are not. Make sure you reserve it online.

I'm only giving this 2 stars, because of the current conditions of the camps sites. The sites are low lying so almost 90% of the sites are very wet and muddy. The park staff offers straw bails to help soak up water from the sites, but it is way too wet to be enjoyable for camping. Unless your fortunate to get one of the few dry sites, you'll likely be disappointed, especially if you reserve a site on line without knowing first if its one of the dry ones. The bathrooms and shower stations are clean and pretty good condition. The playground is nothing special, just a swing set and slide, which at this time is unusable because they are so wet. The location otherwise is a great. Close to Geneva on the Lake and several Vineyards. Once this place dries out, I would agree with 4 stars.

Very nice park. Public archery range and bike trails are great additions. Nice place to spend the day.

I had a great time there and didn't cost me a dime. Also there is some cabin inside the park for a relatively low cost. They were sold out but I'll be back

We arrived at 4:05 at the campground office thinking that where received our key. The Office was closed, although a lady was leaving and when I told we rented the Cabins across the street and did she know where we get our key? In the most unprofessional, irritated, and snotty voice said "didn't you read the sign? I was stunned. (Sunday August 7) I understand she was leaving but really has no business in a customer service job! Unacceptable. When you are excited to start a vacation with your family and that's your first impression. Definitely was a Shock
