Out of all the construction projects in the KC metro put on hold due to the pandemic, Garmin is one of the only projects that has not resumed construction. Other owners, architects, and GC's seem to adapt and learn how to continue building safely through all this. It seems as though Garmin is more concerned with their soaring stock value and record earnings than how holding up construction affects all the contractors who had so much time, resources, and work already invested in the project. I've been in touch with architect, general contractor, and even the Garmin senior facilities manager about when to expect construction to resume. Nothing.

Enjoy your success Garmin... while contractors in KC continue to struggle because of your inability to continue construction. Seems like a severe lack of flexibility and innovation...

Nick Werthman is the absolute best of the best! He goes above and beyond when helping others to make sure they have the best experience possible. He is extremely educated in his field and I would recommend him to anyone. 10/10

Went to the service center for support today. Because of covid-19 the parking lot was pretty empty as you'd expect. They have a large section of visitor parking which was close and great to be able to use as a visitor! The service center wasn't busy about 830am and so I was able to get in and out quickly. The service person was nice and efficient and it was great service. Thank you Garmin!

I stated with Garmin V in about mid nineties.
Always had problems with upload a map.
Later I had two the etrex models.
One with integrated European map, one with integrated US map.
Later I found the etex HCX model whereas the map is on the sd card.
The internet is full of maps.
The best is the map builder from Uni Wuppertal. There I have downloaded at least 100 maps and stored on my hard drive.
The garmin HCX handheld device allows to store max. 4GB on the sd card. But this is most the time good enough for a long journey.
I have been several times in USA, in Bolivia, in Peru and nearly in all European countries.
Fazit: for me the HCX models with sd card are the best.
Not so many colors. I remember eight. But even this is good. A friend of mine bears an Oregon model with a lot of more colors, but regular he asks me for the position as he cannot see it clearly enough on his device.
Moreover, I am free now from the complicated Garmin registration for a purchased map which is most the time not transferable from device to device.
Garmin after sales politic is very strict. It is more likely to receive a "no" reply as a "yes, we can do" reply.
Three stars, as I am happy with the HCX models.
Les than one point for the after sales support.

I purchased 2 Forerunner 35 watches - one for my wife and me. They do not register the same speed or distance when we run together. I called Garmin for help and received the worst customer service experience - they made me feel like I was being untruthful when explaining the problem. I would not recommend Garmin as a company.

I'm sure the unit is fine but was far more than I needed. Returned within 12 hours but was told by Garmin HQ that they would not refund the $68 in monthly charges I had acquired in order to set up and test the unit. Poor choices, Garmin. Corporate greed at its best. Guess that's why Garmin is no longer the leader in GPS devices.

Garmin diesel is a terrible design. I have a fleet that I have to run, and I thought what better choice to go with than to buy my drivers a high quality GPS. What has it left me with, is Confused, and lost drivers going into places they shouldn't be, or having to dig out the old street atlas. It will leave you stranded or lost. First. MAJOR design flaw #1. Garmin should be SUED over this one. If the battery runs out, you cannot just plug it in and get the thing to work. (ie you forgot to plug it in). Now you have to wait an hour for it to charge before it will turn on. It stays in "charge lockout mode". Next,

The garmin diesel system is TERRIBLE. When you are out on the road, and need to modify the route, this system requires specific addresses and can't negotiate your requests. Such as. I need to modify a route for going from Springfield MO, to Billings, but I need to make a quick stop for an urgent delivery between the city such as Republic, (fuel stop, etc). This GPS design, does NOT allow the driver to just put in the town. You have to be specific on the address you want.

There is no “City” options. On “search” without having to DIG through a whole mess of options that are NOT relevant to driving a truck. The whole thing is NOT intuitive and has cost me a LOT of money on lost driver time, because the designers at garmin don't use common sense. I'd tell these pathetic programmers to get an update out there to make their devices intuitive and NOT require 30-45 minutes of settup. You are wasting my time, fuel and customer money.

Do not buy the vivosmart HR! There is nothing smart about it. Got it for a Christmas gift last year and it has been the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with. As a serious runner my stats are important. If you want accuracy and functionality DO NOT BUY THIS! First, being an average height of 5' 11"' every mile is off by about .2 (checked it on a treadmill). Second, occasionally as soon as I start running it freezes up and does not track anything. A mile in to my run I realize it and have to delete it and start my time over. Third, Sometimes as soon as I start running it immediately says I've run a mile and a half or so but I only took 20 steps. Then I have to delete it and start over. But the MOST annoying thing about this, vivo "smart" HR is that I disable the move IQ (automatically tracks activity when senses extreme movement) and it STILL shows up on my stats which overrides my run therefore my distance, time and all the stats that go with it do not show up on the app. Ive called customer service but all they say is to reset back to default and within a week its back to doing the same thing. DO NOT BUY THIS ! This is a compete waste of money.

I have always had Garmin watches and I love them! I swam in college and always used the original vivoactive and never had an issue with it. I got my fiance the vivoactive HR about a year ago and it has worked really well (other than the HR not always recording) but overall he loves it! Recently we went swimming and it stopped working. We called Garmin and they let us know that if you use bug spray or sunscreen it ruins the waterproof mechanism. They replaced the watch right away with no issues. I will definitely continue to purchase Garmin products due to the ease of customer service and great products!

Terrible experience. They don't support software of other language even though they have the language pack. When I asked sending me the language file, they said "you have to buy the new device from that country." Nevertheless this is not the hardware problem, they just want me to buy another device(exactly same model tho..) without any explanation. So ridiculous.

I bought a GPS about 8 years ago. Due to normal usage it's housing failed and needed to be repaired. Where I don't expect any warranty to be left, however I am very disappointed that Garmin would not provide the option to repair it. I guess they want you to invest in a new one. To me, to have a great product you have to provide a great customer support.
