Future of Children Network is dedicated to helping young people achieve new and untold possibilities—we believe that when young people are empowered and encouraged through positive relationships and meaningful opportunities—the sky is the limit for your success! Our network approach model of success is based on leveraging the traditional workings of the nonprofit focus on internal activities such as fundraising, staff recruitment, and program development with an external focus on building a network of youth and affiliate partners. Future of Children Network uses the Ecology Systems Approach, a framework that incorporates those ecological systems that we know are critical to consider when working with marginalized youth: biological, individual, psychological, physical, familial, communal, and cultural. We know that in order to impact adolescent development today requires an understanding of the complex and often changing factors that contribute to shaping youth development. The events and activities that we develop will be supported by a relational developmental systems framework which focuses on the whole child. This means we will commit our efforts to developing programs and activities and partnerships that focus on preparing youth to become productive in adulthood. Helping youth transition from middle-school to high school and into adulthood requires our support for strategic programs and management which will allow the supports needed to help our young participants gain the social and emotional competencies needed to make sound decisions in preparation for a successful transition into adulthood. The Future of Children Network is an organization that provides human support and positive opportunities for youth ages 12-22 by providing resources that will influence healthy decisions and progressive direction to youth while aiding the family system.
