Description
Connecting the communities of Mt Carmel High School, Houston and Mount Carmel Academy, A HISD (academically recognized) Contract Charter High School that was started by a committed group of MCHS Alumni in the wake of the closing of old Mt Carmel High School back in 2008. Though it is not a Catholic School, MCA has excelled over the past 7 years under the volunteer leadership of Principal Maureen Giachinno and her husband George. MCA is a place that still teaches the values of hard work, personal responsibility and helping your fellow neighbor. It boast one of the highest graduation rates in HISD and serves gifted and talented students from all walks of life.
