Wonderful restaurant in a former bank. Brisket sandwich was super tender and moist. Fish and chips served with an awesome tartar sauce. Sweet potato fries with a side of aioli. Yummy! And a great nitro stout on tap!

I Love Freddys. I have NEVER been disappointed! Excellent food, and great service. The wait can be a little longer, but we'll worth the wait!

Definitely not the small town Wisconsin feel. Food and service were good and fast. Quirky, but has a city vibe. Good if you miss the city, still ok if you are looking small town feel and are willing to try new food.

Small town hidden treasure. Building is an old bank, cozy but beautiful. Offers many locally grown and organic options. Great atmosphere. Prices are good for as nice as it is.

We stopped in at lunch time on our way to the house on the rock. We wanted a quick bite, but didn't realize that the place was as upscale as it was. We were dressed casual, but were more than welcomed. The menu was excellent. There was one server working but she was excellent!! We didn't have to wait to order or for food or the bill. It was fairly busy, but she got to all the tables very efficiently. The menu was on the higher end, but the food is all organic and locally sourced. The menu described where all the meat came from!! I feel good about supporting local, so the higher price was worth paying!! The food was excellent!! Even the to go boxes were cardboard instead of styrofoam!! I recommend this place highly!! I wish it was closer to home. I'd go there often!! Please stop in and support this business that helps support the local economy!!

We go there regularly. There were two earlier attempts here, making a restaurant out of a 100-year-old bank building. The first two (I believe they were both called "The Bank") failed, but the third one, Freddy Valentine's, made it and they did it right. Nice menu, realistic prices, good staff, cool atmosphere. They even have a few tables outside. Spring Green's main street is small and quiet, so in the summer, the outside tables are very nice.

They have specials too, so while the main menu is relatively static, there's always something on the specials board to add some variety. Myself, I almost always get the Cajun salmon wrap. I like it, I know what I'm getting, and have never been disappointed.

If I had anything to say that was less than complementary, behind the relatively small bar are two giant TVs playing sports channels. It's hard not to get pulled in, even if you aren't interested. Personally, I could live without them, but on the other hand, that's the only negative comment I can make about the place.

    Highly recommended!!

Honestly fantastic food, I was very pleasantly surprised! We are there as a family of 7, and everything we tried we loved. I'd definitely recommend it.

Stopped here for lunch on the way home from La Farge.

It's housed in the old Spring Green bank building, and they still have some of the memorabilia and the vault, and the way they've decorated around those things had a cool vibe. And like everything else in Spring Green, there's a Frank Lloyd Wright style to the inside decorations. I really liked the giant back bar (not sure where they got it, but it sure wasn't part of the bank in the past !)

I had a local Wisconsin beer and two yummy fish tacos, lightly fried with a citrus slaw that I liked a lot. My wife had a bloody mary that was nicely spicy, broccoli cheese soup and a beet salad.

All nicely finished and tasty, definitely worth a stop (even just to have a drink and check out the cool windows and the vault).

Terrific locally sourced food. Unreal awesome carrot ginger soup and their terrific brisket on a char broiled burger. All in a cool place with fast, friendly, attentive service.

A great place with great food. It's a refurbished bank with tall tables in the beautiful bar, a off bar seating area, and a protected outside seating, but the focus is on the food. We had the Walleye Fish Tacos with real potato fries. Fantastic.

We had the Chicken Club and Mac N' Cheese. Both were delicious and well beyond our expectations. The chicken club had the perfect amount of flavor and bacon, and the fries were cooked just right. The Mac N' Cheese had the perfect amount of cheese, and the oversized noodles were great touch. The food was served in a timely manner, with excellent service. Freddy Valentines is an excellent place to get away from the national food chains, especially if you in town visiting Taliesin or House on the Rock.
