  I can't speak to the quality of their work but not a pleasant experience with Pete coming to my house to provide a price quote. He showed up late, didn't answer my questions, and his price quote way above the rest.

  I cannot speak to their work, but what I can speak to are their paper flyer solicitations being slapped on the doorsteps of Chicago homes and subsequently floating all over our beautiful Lincoln Park after having not been dealt with, or ignored altogether. What a gross waste of resources.
  We posted a very large “no solicitation” sign on our fence and still, continue to receive these archaic flyers.
  I implore you, rally that smart team of marketers you’ve got and innovate. Seriously.

  We had a huge tuckpointing project that needed to be done on our 1925 brick bungalow, including lots of repairs, and a new chimney. Fortune was fairly priced and did the work on time. We had been putting this project off for years and just doing it a bit at a time. We finally bit the bullet and did the whole thing. So glad we did. They found several serious problems and fixed them on the spot. Would definitely hire again! We are thinking of getting a painting estimate for the inside of our house, if we do - they will be our first call. Thanks Bernie and team for a job well done.

  Pete Fortune and his crew did a spectacular job in painting our 1897 Victorian house. The prep work they did in sanding, caulking, replacing rotted boards, hand-cleaning and disinfecting mildewed areas and more was nothing short of astonishing. The painting itself, by hand, was meticulous. They went beyond our expectations and we recommend them without hesitation. Plus, all the crew were not only professional but nice and, for the most part, wore masks and respected the very real crisis we find ourselves in. I'm happy to talk with anyone regarding Fortune. We are very happy with their work. And so is my 100+ year old home, which now looks like a new structure!

  My house has a cinder block extension that had never been properly sealed. Fortune restoration cleaned, tuck-pointed and sealed the extension and the attached garage as well. Their workers were courteous and respectful of my property and my neighbor's property on both sides of my home. On the front of my building, they also did some tuck-pointing and restoration on some decorative stonework above my windows that was showing it's 120 year old age. Highly recommended for vintage homes!

  They have no regard for repeated requests to stop littering neighborhoods with their cheap advertisements. They instead choose to send snide messages (through Facebook messenger) that reads exactly as follows: "Hello ma'am I'm the assistant if you would like to give us your address so we won't ever leave no flyers on your home. We can see you have a lot of time on your hands to complain about the situation but if you would stop the non sense for a flyer." Totally uncalled for, unprofessional and rude.

  The limestone on our school building was old and had been weathered and dirtied over many years. The magnitude of this project made it something that was impossible for our school maintenance staff to handle on their own. Mr. Bob Fortune and his team not only diagnosed exactly the cause of our problem but then worked quickly and thoroughly to restore the stone. Fortune Restoration did an absolutely beautiful job cleaning and restoring the limestone while beautifying the front of our school. The attention to detail that Fortune Restoration demonstrated during this project showed care for our school and pride in their work. We could not be more please with the end result! Since the restoration, I have taken several compliments on the new look of the front of our school from both school families and community members; I would recommend Fortune Restoration, without reservation, to any business or residence in need of interior or exterior work.

  Excellent! Very Professional.
  
  I hired these guys for tuck pointing work and I was glad I did.
  
  The last time I hired a crew for work on my home I was disappointed in the lack of professionalism and how messy they were, leaving cigarette butts everywhere. Fortune Restoration came highly recommended and has proven to be excellent. Tuck-pointing was done on time and clean. The crew was very polite and professional. I since hired them to paint the two rooms in the house and will be needing some porch work done once spring comes around.
  
  If your looking for professionals this company does not disappoint. Highly recommend Fortune Restoration.

  These guys are wonderful. Their quote was the most detailed, their price was the best and their work was impeccable.
  The crew worked very hard, they were neat and cleaned up every evening and was very careful not to do any damage in the course of the job.
  They were also quite creative in finding a way to finish the job around our climbing vines without destroying years of growth.
  Would recommend them to anyone.

  Fortune Restoration recently completed work on my home in Chicago and the results are better than I expected. I hired Fortune after speaking with a job site foreman in Evanston, IL that's where I work and my path to and from the train allowed me the chance to see his teams work from start to finish. The foreman I spoke with was respectful, knowledgeable, professional and he was kind enough to take the time to answer all my questions. The next day I called their office and set up a free estimate. Less than a week later Peter Fortune came out we discussed the scope of the project which included tuck pointing and carpentry as well as painting, he told me they can do that and he gave me a very detailed estimate along with extensive references, after getting three other estimates I chose fortune, The crew that worked on my house was great they were quiet no loud radio, cleaned up at the end of every day which was not easy due to the fact my house had much peeling paint. The men were mindful of my garden as well as my dog and treated my home as if it were their own. The work included interior plaster repair and painting, exterior painting of windows, doors, eaves, fascia, rotten wood replacement on fascia as well as chimney tuck pointing and flue cap installation, all the work looks great thanks again to the Fortune staff
