Be careful driving in there when there is snow on the ground, very slippery. Encountered someone that went of the road and hit a tree. Was nearly hit head on by another driver. Mountain bike trails are top 4 in the state.
Got there at 9:30 am after snow all night and main roads had already been plowed. Good job! This is a well maintained facility.
Nice quiet camping sites. There are many biking and walking and even horse trails to explore. The mosquitoes can be quite thick so make sure you bring some bug spray.
I absolutely love mountain biking here. The trails are fun, challenging, and flow well. The area is fantastic. The woods, the lakes and the overall surroundings make for a peaceful ride.
Rustic camping with plenty of privacy, and lots of nature to see. Well kept washrooms and showers including wheelchair accessible shower. Walking, hiking, horse trails. Does not have water hookups at each site. No path lighting at night.
What a great place! Quiet camping, incredible showers, bike trails galore. We had our first visit this past weekend and will be returning guests for sure!
If you like camping in the wilderness this place is for you. Not a lot of things to do here for pre teen kids. Poison ivy and poison oak everywhere. Campsites are small. On the positive, the camp hosts are very nice and do provide free coffee on the weekend.
Mountain bike trails are fantastic. Medium minimum skill level required. Nice breach facility. Good fishing but Eagle Lake does not open for fishing until 8:00 am.
3300 acres of state land where you can hike, mountain bike, ride on horseback, swim, relax, fish and hunt. In the springtime morel mushrooms grow abundantly and people are always out looking. Friendly staff will always answer any question you may have whenever you need help. Connects to Kalamazoo river so you can plan a kayaking trip around camping. The sites have electric hookups (30W so bring a converter for your RV) and centrally located bathrooms and playgrounds (great for families.) Three lakes to choose from, fishing is great at Eagle Lake and Jackson Hole Lake (Eagle has good shoreline fishing.) Community picnic shelters with event booking and 3 large cabins and 2 mini cabins to rent, campsites are reasonably priced and sanitation station is easily located between the campsite loops. Perfect for families, group camps, youth groups, getaways of any kind.
Great place for family camping. Clean grounds and clean bathrooms.
Decent trails for hiking, which was the purpose of my visit. If I were a mountain biker, I could see how this could be much more appealing. The red trail seemed a much more challenging trail than the yellow, the latter being more suited to hiking (so you're not in the way of the bikers) and more casual cyclists.
Great state park, good camping area, swimming area, and tons of trails to explore. Bathrooms are clean, and centrally located. Great place to get away from town without going far away.
What an absolute TREASURE! They have a great campground, amazing trails for cycling and walking, multiple lakes and a river for fishing, great beach for swimming and MUCH MORE! I love this place!
Nice mountain bike trails. Good campground with well-maintained facilities. Fantastic lake beach and swimming.
