Not a bad school, pretty worn and rough. Could use some remodeling, redesigning, and new staff could also make a difference.

I have to say sending my son to this school corperation was one of the best things i could of ever done for my son and our family. He was in another local school and after the death of his father he started gaining weight and battled what i now know was deppresion, he ended up getting harrased and picked on his grades hit rock bottom and he was just pushed along year by year. Then a bus driver put his hands on my son, and altough i seen for myself what happend the public did not. So it became even worse. He fell behind in everything and started pulling away from family. At my rock bottom with him i knew i had to make a big change for his sake and our family, finaly i decided he was goung to have to change schools as most of his problems started there. Once he started at Ceder crest and the principal explained the rules and what they expected out of him it was almost what i would consider a life changing event for him. He made new friends,(the kind i would want him to hang around) the teachers supported him and pushed him to do his best. And now that he is at the jr/sr high school it has continued. They have some great teachers who do care about the students and care enough to want them to do their best. That is why i plan on moving and moving all my children to this school corparation although the rest of them do well where they are now i can only imagen how great it will be for them after seeing what they have done for my son. I would recommend this school to anyone and its not just the school staff and couches but also the other children/young adults their families and the town that make it such a true welcoming and great school.

Most of the teachers at Forest Park are coaches, so they focus more on sports than they do academics. They inflate grades to make themselves look better on paper, but in reality they are creating dumber kids. A girl in my class, Class of 2008, had her grades changed by the principal to obtain a 4.0 and become a valedictorian. Don't get me wrong, there are still some good teachers there, such as Mr. Prusz and Mr. Johnson, that focus on teaching the kids not just trying to be cool.

I went to FP and it is an amazing school. THe teachers really get to know their students and care about their education and life outside of school. I too did great in college and am now an educator myself! GO RANGERS!
