I confused the Express and the now former IGA Mick or Mack grocery store. The only thing I find annoying about this gas station is the TV screens on the pump. They need a mute button or something on them. The last thing I want to hear/see at the gas pump is a bunch of clips on continuous replay.
The manager is probably the most unfriendly person you can meet. We always say hello just to get one back. Today his cell phone started ringing and that was more important. There were people working stocking the shelves. The aisles were blocked with product and empty boxes. One young lady actually gave us the stink eye when we moved some of her things out of the way so that we could get by. First off, that should have been her responsibility. Second, she shouldn't have looked at us like we did something wrong. I really miss the days of courtesy and the IGA!
Continuously moving everything in store. Walmart style understaffed checkout.
Fairly large grocery store for such a small town. 9/10 times, they'll have what you need. Prices are higher, but to be expected for the convenience of being in New Castle.
The store is convenient and clean. Deli food is extremely bland. The chicken tenders are supposedly hand breaded but cardboard would have more flavor and moistness. If you can't season your food then better not to aerve it at all.
Used to be the old IGA, prices slightly higher but it still is a great value for the remote location on Rt.615
