In 1933 Joaquim Francisco Inácio created Fonte Velha Tannery. Since then it has been one of the few tanneries that has continuously operated in Alcanena, Portugal. We are specialized in 100% biodegradable vegetable tanned leather. It all begins with our long-term partnership with the best breeders in Europe. We are sourcing our hides from the best places in the world : Scandinavia, Germany and France. By using the ancestral veg-tanned leather process we are very proud to offer a unique premium grade leather dedicated to all type of leather projects!
