My favorite theatre in Austin. Always clean and great food. Customer service in lobby gets a c+ to b- but inside theater it's great!

This theater used to be great but over the past 12 months the food has gotten worse and the waitstaff always appears as if they don't want to be there. To make things worse the management staff is horrendous and they could care less about helping the customer. In fact some managers will even say it's the customers fault for having realistic expectations of service and food.

Because of all this we will never return to Flix Brewhouse thanks to three straight negative experiences. There are plenty of other good theaters in the area that pride themselves on excellent customer service.

I went in for a movie tonight and had a horrible experience. I will not be returning. At the ticket counter my account was looked up and I was told that I would be able to receive 20% off any food purchased. When I got to my seat I was told that they couldn't find that discount on my account but they would provide it anyway and they would go get a manager. Then the manager arrived and told me "how things work here" and I told her what I was told, who by, etc. I can't believe that I had to actually argue with the manager over this. None of what was said actually mattered to the manager and it was a total waste of time for me to think that what was found on my account would actually happen. Needless to say, I did NOT get my 20% percent. I doubt that it was made up in the system by "Hannah" but at this point I will never go back. To be told one thing and not follow through with it and to have my time wasted with "how things work here" really isnt my concern. But a place that can't get their facts straight and won't put the customer first doesn't deserve my business.

I’ve been to this theater about 10 times. The facility and atmosphere is nice. The service is a different story. The staff is nice, but they can’t get anything right. This isn’t just on one visit, it is on at least 5 of 10 visits.

So, don’t have high expectations on the service. If you go in with that mind set, you won’t be disappointed.

FYI, I highly recommend Movie House and Eatery as another option if you want the best service and nicest theater.

    What a fun experience.

The food was pretty good, nothing that will blow you away but standard tasty fare. The real treat is the overall experience, eating with your SO and watching the movie in a comfy environment.

Special notes... Definitely a couple or solo outing, really wouldn't work for groups. This is still a theatre, so minimal social time during the movie itself.

As it is a theatre, you can expect to pay a theatre premium on the food. Basically, everything feels just a tad expensive, but not overly so. Plus, there's a pet reasonable rate on the beers, so it all balances out for me.

Excellent and friendly service. Great seats. Full surround sound. Very hi tech, discrete and responsive ordering system during movies. The table rolls forward as an individual tray which is really cool. Food and drink is excellent as well. Better than Movie Tavern and Alamo Drafthouse. 5/5.

Great movie theater with an amazing twist. Its a brewery/resturaunt/theater. The bar tender was very friendly and let us sample some house brews. Easy to get to off of I-35. And the food was good, had anywhere from popcorn and hotdogs to craft burgers, wraps, and pizzas.

Overall a cool experience for ADULTS. This theater is not really Kid friendly, as a matter of fact we were turned away after buying Fandango tickets to see a kids movie because they do not allow children under 2 (our daughter was 9 mo. at the time) in their theater. However; they do not post this anywhere that people might see. I understand that they would not want children in a movie that adults might be interested in, but this was a PG rated kids movie. If you are showing a kids movie you should expect kids of all ages.

Delicious food and a decent selection of beer. Staff was friendly and did their best not to interrupt the movie. The theater itself was clean, roomy and a good amount of "buffer" space between you and the other customers.
I would highly recommend the seasonal brews and the chicken bacon ranch pizza.

This is my first choice movie theater whenever I want to see a movie. Great staff, great food and they serve you beer (and wine). Flix brews some of the beers you can order right there on site, they used to offer brewery tours in the earlier hours.
The seating is very comfortable as well. I highly suggest this movie house if you are looking to enjoy a movie.

Good food, and a good time without being too overpriced. The unique beer selection is extensive, and the bartenders are knowledgeable about the brew. My girlfriend and I often spend date night at this location.

I've been to many places of the "dinner, movie, and a beer" variety. This is by far and away THE BEST location that my wife and I have ever been to. My wife and I frequent this location as often as possible. We drive all the way from waco just to enjoy their GREAT service and QUALITY, hot food and of course the fantastic movie experience. I LOVE Flix Brewhouse--Round Rock, Tx.

This is my favorite movie theater in Austin. Flix has a great selection of craft beer, as well as Flix's own microbrews. The food is excellent and hasn't taken a step back like other places. Seat selection is easy and there is never a bad seat in the theater.

My wife and I had a great experience here. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer with a couple of drinks. Ale beer was very good as was the fried pickles. Very clean and extremely attentive staff. Food was very good as well.
