This place is great. There is nothing quite like sitting at the table in front of a cozy pizza oven with your family while the great music plays, waiting for the delicious pizza you see baking to come to your plate. Their pizza is probably the best tasting pizza I have ever had.
Awesome thin crust pizzas. Different and fun ingredients! ( we had green beans on our pizza!?!). Good craft beer list!
My absolute favorite place to eat a meal in Portsmouth - at a great price. Experience the best flatbread around (Jimmy's free-range and taco pizza are my favorites), made right in front in a hot wood oven. The starters are great as well, try out their house salad (seaweed is good!). For beverages they have awesome sodas like ginger beer. Enjoy the best food in the best atmosphere in Portsmouth!
Good service. Pizza was tasty. Compared to the other locations, something is a little off here. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something missing. Don't let that put you off, it's still the best pizza in town.
We came from Maine Bangor to be exact and we timed our trip to eat lunch here. Only our second time here. 5 stsrs all the way!
The pizza at Flatbread Company is delicious.
This 3 star rating is for slow service and unreliable wait times. The restaurant offers call ahead wait list (recommend), however even with this offering our small group waited 2x the amount quoted. Upon seating we waited about 10 more minutes for service.
It is busy for a reason, the food is delicious - fresh, interesting and cooked to perfection. But be prepared to be patient.
Delicious, fresh, local Flatbread. Special meat and veggie style everyday, always something for everyone including great salads.
It's usually pretty crowded, so shoot for the off hours if you want to avoid wait.
You can always order take out and sneak in the back door from the alley between Congress and State.
Probably the best pizza in town. It's a little pricey but well worth it. High ceilings inside and in the winter you can get lucky and sit near the fire pizza oven! Great beer selection with many local options!
Huge space, great for groups. The service was fast and friendly. We have been to other locations in MA and VT and this one was just as good. I recommend a large flatbread for two or three people- it's big but the crust is quite thin. Great craft beer selection at this location as well! There is plenty of municipal parking in Portsmouth- don't overpay for a garage.
Everything was good here. The flat bread was hot and tasty. The wait staff was so nice and even brought out some dough for my niece to play with while we waited for dinner.
This is one of my favorite goto places for dinner. This is the best pizza you'll ever have. It is light and cheesy, plus most of the ingredients are local, organic, and antibiotic/hormone free! The staff is fun and friendly, this location is spacious, and watching them make the pizza and stoke the fire is very enjoyable.
I want to like the place because of the healthy and gluten free pizzas, but I just don't like the flavoring; lacking in red sauce, hence dry and uninspiring: it in fact reminds me of so many suburban pizzerias in NY who try and make you think you are having something delicious simply because it is "New York pizza". At least the menu was improved the second time I went there, where you could simply read the choice of toppings; the old menus were a discombobulated mess which were impossible to decipher what the options were for toppings.
Being vegan, it's hard to find restaurants that I can actually eat at -- unless I want a dry, sad salad with no fun in it. Flatbread makes company lunches super easy with a vegan pizza on the basic menu and veggie specials to entice the palate daily. Flatbread truly makes getting your vegetables an excellent experience!
I was skeptical - this place was very earthy-crunchy. Every item on the menu was described by more adjectives than I have ever seen on a menu. But that first bite into the pizza - organic sausage - was incredible. Highly recommended.
