This restaurant at Hyatt Lost Pines is great for breakfast and dinner. Dinner buffet was slightly pricey though but very fresh.
Best shrimp bisque, best lobster mac and cheese, best lemon meringue, and best cheesecake I’ve ever tried in my life! I don’t even like cheesecake but I tried a bite of someone else’s and it was so fluffy. Tuna tartare was very fresh and a nice appetizer. Wedding was taking place outside the window so some of us went to watch for a minute :)
We ate breakfast at the Firewheel and we opted out of the buffet and order ala carte. Texas shaped waffle, avocado toast, and the star of the show- huevos rancheros. It was awesome
I was visiting the area and due to everything going on I didn't feel safe going to a restaurant so I was happy to find that they were serving a Thanksgiving meal I took it to go actually even the drive into the resort was very peaceful and beautiful an added to the experience it was a great amount of food I felt like I was at a family member's house I'll go redid stayed on the menu there would be a salad and charcuterie and I did not receive that in the meals. I would have loved to have sat in the reception area by one of the two large fireplaces I have a very nice atmosphere there. Also I was very happy about the containers because they are very biodegradable and they used paper bags and not plastic
Everything is top notch. The dessert bar has it all. It is a bit pricey. But, if you're going to stay here eat there atleast once!
This is a Resort so the food is pricey. I ordered the Chicken fajita tacos and I got full. In fact I didn't finish them. I had a Mexican Martini and it was not good.
Food I ordered was good prepared, the environment is great, I wish they could have for breakfast more veggies and option of eggs without meat
Very long wait for breakfast buffet, than the food started running out as it got towards the end of serving time. Price has gone from $18 to $25 per person. The chair cushions are getting really shabby, and it seems like they could replace them for the prices they charge. We've been there a lot but it will probably be awhile before we go back.
Did not bring out food as we asked, had to tell waiter 3 times to bring tortillas, finially got up and went and asked where is tortillas , and then he brought them by then my food was cold , and slow to respond
We really enjoyed our visit to the Firewheel cafe. The host was friendly and our waiter, Eric, was polite and engaging. Definitely plan to eat there again.
Very good buffet menu on Fridays, very clean, excellent wait staff, highly recommend
Flies everywhere.
So I had a breakfast buffet Here July 12. The food was fine, but flies climbed every where. I am totally shocked when I saw multiple flies climbing on my eggs. During my stay, Texas Health Care Association was holding meeting in this hotel. One of my friend(MD) saw flies, and left immediately. Can't understand why they left so many flies here, when large group of Doctors gonna visit.
Buffet is amazing, only 11.00 for access to nearly the entire menu!
Ordered salmon, steak and a burger for the family. The salmon was dry, the burger was overcooked and the steak was forgotten. Very nice folks, offered to make it right very quickly. Everything was right the next time.
Update: Came back the next day, remembered us and did everything they could to make us happy. Great service!
Food was good service was outstanding.very attentive
After a long, hot day in the hotel's lazy river, there is very little that can beat the fresh salads at Firewheel... well, it's possible that the queso beats the salad, but nothing will beat the sweet potato cheesecake! That stuff is insanely good--like the love-child of cheese cake and sweet potato casserole.
