One of the best Italian dining experiences I have had. Came here for lunch and wish I could do it at least once a month. Most creative cocktail presentations I have seen and the pasta and seafood are beyond expectation.

We came here without a reservation and we were served immediately. There wasn’t much people but only at the bar. Our waiter Mark was super nice because my mom and dad doesn’t understand English so our waiter explained the menu because there were many complicated words. I didn’t order a course but my mom and dad each ordered a 3 course and dessert to share. We were super full in the end but still managed to eat our dessert. Overall, The food was fabulous and I especially want to thank our server Mark for his funniness and helpfulness. It gave us a really wonderful experience after visiting the US Capitol, museum, and memorial. I would really recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Washington like us.

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is amazing. Every dish was delicate and lovely. We don't eat shellfish and many of the dishes had some element of seafood in it. The chef made specially made dishes for us to enjoy. We did not miss anything. The wait staff was the icing on the cake. Very attentive and accommodating. I would make this my go to romantic spot.

What an amazing experience! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. Our service was without a doubt the best that I have ever experienced in my life. Our waiter, Armando, truly made our evening exceptional and even though this was our first time dining there, he made us feel comfortable and at ease. He was also knowledgeable about the menu and attentive throughout the entire evening. I would recommend this to anyone visiting DC and look forward to dining there again in the future.

Quite simply, Fiola is the best restaurant I've ever been to in the United States, and quite possibly anywhere. The service was literally unbelievable - Armando was just too good to be true. Food was delicious, original, and tasteful. Well deserving of its Michelin Star, and some other 1-star DC restaurants - Plume, Sushi Taro - suffer in the comparison. Not a restaurant that you can go to frequently - the experience will cost you an arm and a leg - but for a special occasion, Fiola can't be beat. I certainly hope to return.

Loved the experience and the service was great! This restaraunt is for those who want to experience diverse plates. All my dishes were fantastic expect the pork, all it tasted like was burnt. For the price, I felt like each dish should have been at least good, and the pork was simply not.

Fiola will forever have a special place in my heart. This is the place where I proposed to the love of my life. I worked with Sarah Bingston to set up the proposal. She was FANTASTIC to work with. I reserved a private room (in the photos) to propose. Sarah had the room ready with champagne and rose pedals. We walked in and I proposed! After that was over, the restaurant really showed us how great it was. The chef came out and greeted us and gave us personal suggestions, the waitstaff catered to everything we needed, about 4 different staff people checked on us to see who the night was going. They even took our phones to an office to charge them because they died responding to congratulatory messages LOL! We got a free dessert and glass of wine and just an overall AMAZING experience. We did the 4 courses for dinner and it was amazing. I had a ribeye which was cooked to perfection. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome experience!

Fantastic Italian dining. We returned from Italy a week ago, and Fioli was a refuge from the mundane. Excellent!! The lobster ravioli was fantastic!

Complete disappointment. The service was awful. We had a group of 8 that dined there the evening of Sept 2. If you have dined here (or not), you know we spent A LOT of money including two bottles of wine. I don't mind spending money for quality food and service but, we never felt welcome and our server seemed put off to actually have to wait on us. Like we were an inconvenience. I would have zeroed out the tip if I could have. We had to ask 3 times for the sommelier to come over so we could order our second bottle of wine. I will never return to Fiola and would suggest others spend their money elsewhere. The food was good but the poor service outweighed that positive part.

The bottom line: I don't mind paying $600 for dinner for two, but it should be an amazing experience. This wasn't it. As a rule, if there's gold leaf on your food, you are paying too much for it.

First of all, I was unhappy with the table -- that half bench scheme where you are shoulder-to-shoulder with the people at the next table. Not my kind of cozy.
Tasting menu was $150pp. No problem. But wine pairing? $125, and this was the basic pairing -- for $210 there's a "premier" version! Already I know I'm overpaying, but perhaps the sommelier will have some personality. Nope. She rattled off some info on the wine (while looking at my tablemate), poured a tiny amount, and took off. Pairing choices were ok but that's a bare minimum requirement at this level.
Food was good, but definitely short of amazing. If it was half the price, I'd think about going back. However, with so many other amazing options within a block or two from here, I cannot recommend it.

Food was as you would expect: correctly made pasta, nice wine. Nothing to write home about, and definitely not worth the expense. If you're in DC and getting Italian, you're doing it wrong.

This is our 1st time ever dining at a Michelin star restaurant and the experience is something that I would never forget in my life. We went for The Sunday Family Table dinner for 2 pax including a bottle of wine. We were served by a few staff instead of one dedicated staff which makes us feel like a King. The San Leo Ravioli is my favourite. It's a simple menu with absolute perfection. Our main course- Whole roasted heritage chicken is way to big for both of us to finish it as we already filled our stomach with ravioli before that so I can't really appreciate the chicken as much as the ravioli. Overall, the experience is very memorable and I would recommend anyone visiting The DC to give Fiola a visit. Online booking is a must.

Marcel's is if nothing else consistent. It is consistently outstanding in every respect! The tasting menu gives you a great opportunity to try a variety of offerings without going totally overboard. The service staff is truly exceptional and has always impressed me with their quality over the years.

I cant always justify paying $100 for 2 entres and desserts, but the food and service was so good. I can see why this place is a Michelin star restaurant. The quality was exceptional, the food was fresh, and the service was unheard of. Great place

What an amazing experience. My wife and I had dinner on Christmas Eve here and the food was deserving of the Michelin star the restaurant has, but the real prize at this establishment is the service. We were afraid we were going to be late for the service at the national cathedral so we tried to subtlety request the check from the server when our 3rd course came out. Before we knew it our server was extremely apologetic and was there with the check and dessert was brought out quickly as well. The restaurant had opted to pay for our wine and packed us pastries and treats to go in case we didn't have time to enjoy our dessert. Hats off to Paison and Richard! You guys made our Christmas Eve experience at Fiola wonderful. .

My experience here was amazing. I never went to a place where the service was brillant and lovely. The food is delicious. The setting is beautiful. My waitress was the best. The managers treated me with so much respect and were very interpersonal. I cannot wait for my next visit to Fiola.

Amazing food! Perfectly done pasta, wonderful flavors. A little pricey for an everyday lunch, but a wonderful treat. The cocktail menu looks interesting, I look forward to trying dinner here sometime.
