If you want a quality job, keep searching, find a another flooring company. It has been 9 months since I left my review and since a claim has been filed. I have now attached some photos of the product and service that I received. The floor is not even 1 year old. You can see how it is not holding up to common office furniture. The install service is also less than acceptable. There are areas where there are gaps in the the slats, trim held in by a thumb tack that is cut crooked, and slats that are rising. Maybe this floor was meant to be looked at rather than used as an office.
Terrible terrible customer service. They took our check and promised to start the job the next week. Without any notice they cancelled appointment after appointment. We tried to contact them but no one would call us back. Our initial contact was so positive so this was a huge disappointment. The contracted team that finally came to do the work did a great job and was very professional but the terrible customer service was not worth it.
horrible customer service as stated above. I doubt they can stay in business. Just check the UCC records with the Secretary of State and it tells the tale. They are hanging on by a very thin fragile thread. Contract they hired even admitted the job was poor but just shrugged his shoulders.
When we were shopping for carpet and hardwood, sales rep., Derick, told us he could:
- fix buckled area in old floor that was not being replace (later installer said that couldn't be done)
-match old wood exactly (it didn't)
-quoted us $1,500 for hardwood (then he called after we ordered carpet and said hardwood is now $1650)
Later, the same sales rep:
- Did NOT explain and lay out all possibilities and options when our new floor buckled and lead to misunderstanding that upset all of us
-Was unprofessional how he handled the miscommunication, he even hung up on me as I was highly upset
-1/3 of the floor was laid incorrectly and had to call another installer to come and finish the job. I worked with them as they said they correct it the best they could without starting over
-Left NO extra carpet OR hardwood was left when we purchased it and had to pay extra to get small area fixed that buckled
-Ed White (owner) spoke with our family members that stepped in for us during this mess. He was very polite , but said he was in the business to make money and could give us a $125 discount on the $475 bill to fix the 2.5' X 3.5' area that buckled.
- Installer, Carlos, was very polite and respectful at all times and even apologized for the issues we had
We could not be happier with our experience. The salesman, Jim Medcalf, did an excellent job of both selling the company and the care that would be taken with the installation. His method and thoroughness of measuring and assessing the job requirements left us with a very good impression of the company and the overall process.
This impression was reinforced and realized with the terrific method of installation performed by Cireno and his crew. Their professionalism and conscientious approach to their work resulted in great looking floors. They arrived on time and ready to work. They were very careful while moving furniture and did a wonderful job of cleaning up when they were done.
We would definitely recommend using Fine Floors by Ed White for any of your flooring needs.
