We stay here every time we visit. It's cozy, quite and right on the water. It's the cleanest dog-friendly place we've ever stayed at.
I was told in a e mail that my wife and I were getting a sound side room and we didn't, took a very long time to get our room ready for us we waited for the phone call to be told the room was ready never got it, had to go to the hotel and get a worker to find o ut for us. The room had alot of moisture in it. Left to go get lunch and came back to find our clothes had moisture on them. The outside stairs had weat spots in the steps' along with the upper deck having weak and rotten places in it. Wasn't a very good experience for my wife and I. Not coming back.
Close to everything, had the apt on the 2nd floor and was very nice and spacious. 2 bedrooms and one with a fold away couch/bed and a nice bathroom with a jaquzi tub. Were very pleased with the room.
I love this place..dog friendly, great water views (especially at 6am while walking said dog). This is my 3rd stay, and the room I'm in has been nicely upgraded! The close proximity to Jennette's pier is great, along with Fat Boyz Ice cream nearby!! I highly recommend :)
Nice rooms, nobody is at front desk. All check in and check out info is emailed to you beforehand. I didn't realize and was looking for someone when another guess told me. A little weird but I'd stay again. Very convenient location
Great, recently updated rooms with nice amenities. Excellent location. Great dock in back for fishing, kayaking, or just relaxing.
Great location not in the busiest part of town. Looking out any window you have a water view! Great room with all the comforts.vwill stay again!
This place is the most out dated , disgusting place. The bath tub leaks and it smells like mildew throughout the whole room. The beds feel like a rock.
Would definitely stay there again. Checked in by making a phone call and getting code for electronic lock on door. Room was very clean. Had nice view. There was a dock right out back. Had no issues with other ppl staying there. Was within walking distance of a popular bridge to fish from. Very quiet and relaxing. Fun and Feather gets 2 thumbs up.
This place is popular with the hunting and fishing crowd. No frills, inexpensive, pet friendly (we brought our two large dogs) and no amenities on site other than the basics. It's not much to look at. It's old and outdated and could use a fresh coat of paint.
In spite of that, the room we stayed in was clean and spacious. It had a small fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware. A large Internet TV was mounted in the corner. The check-in/check-out is all done by email/phone. They email you a passcode for the door (it has a pin keypad), and it starts working on your check-in time and stops working at check-out time. Very easy and painless.
The location of the place is either good or bad, depending on your viewpoint. It's right on the causeway leading into Nags Head. So you are off the beach but away from the island traffic, but you have a lot of road noise to deal with if you have a room facing the highway. If you have kids and want easy beach access then you're better off looking elsewhere. If you want a cheap, no frills place and you don't need 5 starsthen this place would work for you.
