It wasn't bad but the swimming pool was not heated even though they said it was on the phone. I think they knew that we would not have stayed there had we known the pool was not heated. The staff was friendly enough but we had to wait a while until someone waited on us at the front desk.
I stayed at this place for 19 days on work. Completely messed up place with no information on what they charge. During my second week I wanted to extend my stay and it was no problem but just that the weekend tariff suddenly jumped by 120%. This was not communicated to me. Now that I am back I do not know why this was handled in such a way. Way sub standard for a Marriott hotel in a place like Topeka. The only positive side was one of the friendly staff at the weekday breakfast. The rooms were never vacuumed and had to complain couple of times to get the toilets cleaned. One whole week the pool was dysfunctional and they wanted us to go to another property if needed to use the pool. The only time I used the pool towards the end of my stay was disgusting because of unclean pool and spa. The best part is they have no clue how their system works when charging customer debit cards and I am still awaiting a $1,000 preauth to be credited back to me. Only the GM and her assistant knows anything to do with preauth and billing. Will never again stay at this property nor even consider staying at any other Marriott properties in future, being a Marriott member.
The hotel is neat and very clean. The employees are very police and responsive. It makes them a pleasure to work with. It is a very pleasant stay. It is obvious that some guests smoke despite the no smoking policy. It is equally obvious that they clean up after it. The room was utterly smoke free. The cleaning odor lingers in the halls.
We left our 3 year olds toy puppy behind when we checked out. Not only did they send it back to us at no charge but they also made a video of his little adventure at the hotel. Thank you for the memory!
I stayed here 12/8/18 through 12/10/18. The room was perfect and the staff were very friendly! I highly recommend.
Room was average. Location was kind of annoying to get to. Service was nice and accommodating. Free wifi is slow. If you want better wifi you have to pay.
We had some problems, to which the desk listened and tried to compensate for. The real 5-star service was when they called to tell me that housekeeping had found that I had left shirts and a jacket in the closet. They expressed them to me without charge!
This place is awesome, they have a big pool and a hot tub they have elevator so you don't have to use the stairs, free breakfast and the breakfast lady is very nice
Rooms were ok. Small cleanliness issue that staff addressed. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good.
Room was clean and quiet. Bed was so comfy. Good stay.
This might have been an issue with my room but the walls seemed a little thin. I could hear the neighbors talking from time to time but it wasn't a serious issue (again, hardly noticeable for the most part). Everything else was exceptional. Friendly staff, clean rooms, complementary warm food for breakfast. Nice place to stay if passing through.
Hotel was not quite what I come to expect from a Fairfield Inn but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Pool was nice but needed cleaning. Breakfast was good.
Great service from the friendly staff. The staff was attentive and even gave me directions of things to do in town or places to eat. The hotel room was clean and the only issue I had during my stay was the first night the internet didn't work as it should. I did notice the next day it worked great. The hotel is an older model Fairfield that I thought was the newer style but not too bad. The breakfast area is small and less than average continental breakfast.
Decent value for the money. We stayed a Saturday night during a road trip. Very good breakfast. Clean room, good bed. Newer carpet and paint. Bathroom fixtures starting to show some age, A/C under window was kind of noisy, but not neither were a big issue.
