I waited a year to post this review because as with most big purchases, you really don't know if you got your money's worth right away. A year in, something went wrong with the inverter, but Brad, BJ and team were quick to have it fixed and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy. Customer service after the sale is the true mark of a good company, and I'm glad I picked them over the competition.

I couldn't be happier with my solar purchase @ Everything Solar. Brad, Dillon, & BJ went above and beyond my expectations. If there was a question or concern I had they were quick to contact me and address it fully. I did extensive research and had over 5 solar companies offer their pitch. Everything Solar was tied for the best deal but the fact they've been in business for 23 years made the decision a no brainer. Thanks for everything.

I have had my solar Panels for approx. 3 years. I love the Brad who is always a phone call away and takes care of my concerns and issues immediately.
I have only had one issue in the last 3 years with the data not wanting to transfer to my app. Everything Solar walked me thru the technical support and fixed my issue, which appeared to be my internet connection. I definitely would recommend this company. Knowing the fact that you are a phone call away gives me peace and comfort..

In July, 2013, Brad from Everything Solar came out to give us an estimate on some solar panels for our pool. At that time we expected to be replacing our roof in the next few years. Brad told me that when we decided on the roof, the company would come out and take down the solar panels and then replace them once the roof was completed and it would be free of charge. He said they do that as a one time courtesy and that any subsequent roofs we would have to pay. I remember chuckling at that because who replaces their roof every few years? We signed the contract and had the solar panels installed with Everything Solar.
The solar panels did not pass inspection by the city and Everything Solar had to come out and put more screws down to secure everything and on the second inspection, it passed. The solar panels worked as expected for the past 9 years.
Several months ago, we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of our upstairs bedrooms. We got several roofing companies to come out and assess the problem. The consensus was that it was finally time to replace our 17 year old roof. It lasted longer than I projected back in 2013 so I'm not upset about that. What I am upset about is that the water damage on our ceiling, the roofers and our insurance company concluded was caused by the solar panels coming loose and water getting in through the holes that no longer had screws securing them. The solar panels were not all secured to the trusses as they should have been in the first place.
Today we called Everything Solar to talk to them about the one time courtesy removal that Brad promised (apparently just to make the sale) back in 2013. We were fortunate enough to actually get Brad himself on the phone. He claimed that they offer no such thing and he had no idea who would have promised that to us originally. It was you, Brad. You promised that and it was the reason we decided to sign with your company instead of one of the others we received estimates from. We weren't even complaining about the holes in our roof from improper installation, we were only asking for the removal and reinstallation before and after the roof replacement.
The way a company treats it's customers after the sale is far more important than the pie-in-the-sky promises they make before the sale. I'm sorry I gave them my business and now that we are looking for additional solar panels once our roof is completed, Everything Solar will not be a consideration. Very happy with our new solar generating system!
Brad, Dylan and BJ designed, coordinated and installed our system during the late summer and fall of 2020, shortly after we moved into our new home.
Brad took an entire morning to ensure we fully understood the benefits & caveats to owning a solar system, and walked us through the math to be sure the final product met our electricity needs. Following commissioning, he stayed in touch to make sure everything was coordinated properly with Duke Energy and the system was functioning as expected.
Dylan was the lead installer onsite, and was professional and courteous throughout. I had the opportunity to see the final product on the roof up close, and was impressed with the workmanship and quality product installed.
BJ was (I understand) the system designer, and our primary point of contact after the sale, and quickly got our power monitoring account set up and configured. Each question I came up with was quickly & concisely answered.
The system passed inspection with the County promptly, and Duke Energy approved connection to the grid within a week. Since then, each power bill we've had has consisted of a customer charge and tax we haven't paid them for power in several months.
Recently we added a plug-in hybrid to our garage, and are evaluating the possibility of adding extra panels to support it's power needs and avoid paying the utility anything more - Brad & company will be our first call!response / report this review
