My husband has been here twice in the past two weeks, and the care he's received has been good, and communication with his home city's VA care providers excellent.
The Urgent Care IS open 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm. We almost didn't come here today because Google listed the wrong hours. They're reviewing my edit now, but I can assure you, if you're reading this, they're open 8 to 8.
recently had an xray with contrast dye of my abdomen. the v.a. doctor said my appendix appears normal. apparently they can grow back as mine was removed 35 years ago
I have gotten very good care here. I have had major surgery to yearly physicals. I don't use the urgent care center except for things that can be taken care of in primary care clinic
Hey! I think these guys r great. I've had all my medical needs addressed at the Erie VA for the past 4 years and they've always been attentive, professional and helpful. I personally am so glad they r here.
best hospital ever. treated my father very well
with all the bad press, it's nice to know our local VA hospital doesn't have the problems others do. If you've "served" you should take advantage of this great local healthcare provider. New parking lot under construction as I submit this [9/2015] Many services available.
I want to alert my fellow Veterans and friends, of a doctor named Dr. Gabriel Holland who works as a psychiatrist in the mental health clinic at the Erie Veterans Affair's. I was a patient of his during a very unpleasant time of my life when I needed professional help the most, and he made me feel even worse. He had no compassion, and or humility towards my urgent needs. During my appointments, he treated me as if I was some animal prisoner on death row when all I wanted was help. Actually, prisoners on death row probably get treated better than Dr. Holland treats his patients. For the life of me I cannot figure out why he would want to "help" veterans? Dr. Holland doesn't deserve to have the honor of treating Veterans. I've talked with other Veterans Affair's mental health clinic employees concerning Dr. Holland's ethics and they are very aware of his misconduct towards his patients. If Dr. Holland treated private patients like he does Veterans, he would have probably lost his medical licence a long time ago. That being said, the VA can't fire him due to the organization being a enormous bureaucracy. I do not like to complain about things but I feel the need to speak up and inform the people. Also, I have made multiple formal complaints on Dr. Holland and to my knowledge he still treats patients there. I will not go back there until something is done.
