I really enjoy going to Eldorado Scioto Downs. The people are pleasant and very helpful and friendly. I try to go twice a month and more if I can. It's a very enjoyable and relaxing time.😀

Service was fast considering how many people were there. You can tell that the servers have some horror stories and can handle pretty much anything you throw at them. Super professionals, man.

However, they don't cook the bland, low quality food, adjust the audio for the live music or make the drinks (which btw, no matter what drink you order, it's probably coming in a pint glass because why not). All of which seriously needs someone to show them some care. It's clear that it's a quantity over quality deal here.

I usually go often and was satisfied because I know you can't win all the time.
I've spent enough that I receive a decent amount of free play.
But the customer service has shown me they care nothing about my patronage!
3 months in row I did not receive mailings about my comps and the activities happening for the month. I questioned after first month and called after third month and left a message along with my card and phone number. Apparently my concern was not important enough to deserve an answer because nobody contacted me.
After spending a decent amount of money there, I feel I deserve a little respect!
Maybe Hollywood would appreciate my business!!

Overall, payouts are slim and comps are terrible. You can spend A LOT and the free play or meal comps will never come. They only let you win enough to keep playing. Game selection isnt that great. I have much better comps and payouts at Hollywood. I go an average of 3 times a week and think ill skip this place from now on. The drink stations are often out of items and filthy. Bathrooms are okay. Much cleaner and maintained at Hollywood.

Much better vibe than the Hollywood. Avoid the Hollywood Casino like the plague it sucks. Have to add something to this. I won eight hundred bucks the last time I was here but gave back 200 bucks recently on my birthday. As of October 2017 I had not gone to the buffet. Finally tried it and it was absolutely awful. The worst casino buffet I've ever seen. Selections were very limited. Salad bar was actually worse than frisches big boy and that salad bar was pretty terrible.
For everything else it was pretty much over cooked and a couple of guys behind that counter didn't seem to care too much about what they were doing. Sausages and hamburgers grilled way overdone didn't even try them. The big deal was they had prime rib that looked okay but was obviously only overcooked actually on the outside and tough as shoe leather on the inside. Couldn't eat it. The only thing that was any good was a piece of breast meat Fried Chicken.
Pretty obvious that people don't really care when they put something like this out and then charge you 15 to 20 bucks for it. Best buffet I've ever had was actually down at Belterra in Cincinnati, fantastic. Actually free just for signing up for the first time. Pretty disappointing Eldorado Scioto Downs and all I got was 5 comp points for my birthday. The restaurant is decorated very strangely and just as sparse as the buffet. Kind of meant to mimic the wacky Decor in Vegas casinos.

Well let’s talk about the best in Columbus Ohio when it comes to winning @ any Casino if it is your time to hit the big one. Well I am 77 Years young and last year I won over 66K so it is not the Casino it Is just not your time. Having said that I love going to this Great Casino and I love Winning.

Gaming here is really dissatisfying. Slots are really tight. You never see hand pays here and you never see anyone really winning anything outstanding. The few local customers I spoke with say they have seen a serious decline in guest winning anything. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you think you're going to walk away a winner. Very poor service at the bars and really rude floor employees. The buffet wasn't worth the money spent that's for sure. Cafe food staff was slow and the food nothing to good on the menu. But for the slots to just rip you off on a consistent basis is really sad. Now we just go to brew brother's for lunch sometimes and completely forget about the games of chance. You're not going to win at all. If you do you're just there at the right moment.

Great for slots. They have cheaper drink prices than some casinos I've been to. The outdoor smoking sections are also very large. I haven't had the buffet but the dash cafe and Brew Brothers offer some good food. The dash cafe has a ton of food for the price. Unless you want table games, I'd go here over Hollywood.

My family enjoys your casino, very much! We don't even mind that we don't win big! We just have fun playing the games. Your employees need to watch the customers closely. This is the third time I have had money or points from my card taken. Just saying, keep your eyes open, people come to have fun, not get ripped off! Thank you!

I was on vacation in Columbus. I stopped to watch the Preakness. The facility is nice, very relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely stop again when I am in the area.

My parents made it seem so cool when I couldn't go but for my 21st birthday I got to see all the hype. It was boring cause I'm not really the gambling type but they could at least add more stuff other then machine and horse racing. The have two restaurants and a fast food/store kinda thing; need more food options. The bartenders are nice which is why they love to make strong drinks 😵😵

The Scioto Downs has changed quite a bit over the last 10 years. As it is now, it's fairly nice to stop by. Especially if you are already heading north or south on 23 and you are near Columbus. All slot machines and horse races when it's in season. There are no Hollywood style tables here.

    Terrible place to work.

The housekeeping gets paid minimum wage, and it shows, all the employee areas are filthy. Bartenders and wait staff get paid tipped minimum, and security barely gets ten an hour. All positions require you to stand your entire shift. This results in very high staff turnover. Security lost nine people in two weeks, and drop team lost four in under a week.

The real issue is that the place made over $25 million in December alone, yet it's run like a McDonalds that's about to go out of business. Staff sees that no money is put back into the place and they are underpaid for the amount of work required.

    You've been warned.

Whenever I want to get away and have some fun I come here. I play penny slots and can play for around 6 hours on $40-$60, although I've yet to hit a jackpot. They offer free non-alcoholic beverages and have 3 restaurants. Non smoking except for the gaming/ Smoking patio which is heated in cold weather. This place is kept clean and drink stocked ( paper towels and toilet paper in the restrooms and cups at the drink stations)
