Daily spotlight goes to Grace Smith!! Grace has been a CNA here at Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport for the past 4 years, and just graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Working at Elderwood, is where Grace knew she wanted to become a nurse. Watching her peers care with such compassion and dedication to our residents drew her to this field. Grace says working at Elderwood has allowed her to feel the support of a second family. The residents and staff have made her time here very enjoyable. Grace is forever grateful for the obstacles that have gotten her where she is today, and non of that would have been possible without taking the chance. She hopes to instill that to her children. Take chances with no regrets! Thank you Grace for you hard work, and good luck! We are so proud of you! #Elderwood

Today's spotlight is Ashley Day, who just passed her boards as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Elderwood of Lakeside has always been dear to Ashley's heart. Not only did she do her clinical rotation here at 17 and has worked at the facility as a CNA for the past 9 years, but her grandparents were both residents here as well. Ashley has always known she has wanted to follow her grandmother's footsteps as a nurse. She hopes to pass that down to her daughter, and to show that all th...ings are possible at any stage of life. What Ashley loves most about working at Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport, are the bonds she has created with the residents and their families. She says that they have become a second family to her, and could not imagine leaving them! Ashley hopes to continue her education in the near future to graduate as a Registered Nurse. Good luck in all your endeavors, Ashley and Congratulations! We are so proud of you!!
