Great theater! We got movie pass and have been visiting at least once a week. Seats are comfortable and if there is ever any issue with the screening just let the staff know, they'll take care of you.
Good local theatre. Parking lot is always busy but usually enough spots if you don't mind walking. Staff is friendly. Seats are comfortable.
Clean, easy parking, shops all around, good movies, comfortable seats, clean refreshments counter with courteous and efficient service. It's all good. Prices suck but it's the same everywhere. ;)
I went this morning to watch the live stream of the HD Live from the Met opera, Norma. The opera failed to play--first the sound and then the picture. This failure was blamed on "technology." There was no technician on hand to deal with the live stream, and we were not informed until 30 minutes after the show was supposed to begin. I understand that bad things happen. But what occurred after that was unacceptable. The entire audience cued for a very long time, and only one person was making refunds. This is the second time this has happened at the same theater. I will not be going there again. I would give this theater zero stars, if I could.
The teenagers who work here are pretty rude. I offered to help out a stranger so she could get the AT&T deal a while back and they treated me like I was pretty much "breaking in" to the movie theater without paying even though I definitely paid for my my ticket. I wanted points for my popcorn and they refused to put it on my regal card. I had to talk to a manager and they whole thing was just dumb when all I was trying to do was help this lady and her daughter out in the first place.
This is a big theater, it's never hard to find seats because it never usually gets too crowded during the daytime (Not sure how nights and weekends are). The daytime ticket collector dude, Tex, is really cool. Popcorn is often served half off. Friendly atmosphere!
All the theaters at this IMAX have stairs with about 20-30 steps that have to be climbed if you prefer sitting further back from the big screen. Not a problem unless you have mobility issues, like my 92y/o mom. We've had to settle for seats closer to the screen because there are no other alternatives for getting to seats in the back of the theater.
This theatre and it's employees don't know about the machines they have in it. Maybe I'll put my own machine in here and charge absurd amounts for a small amount of candy. DO NOT BUY candy from the "Sweet Amanda" candy machine. Complete rip off. I've included pictures. When I asked a theater employee about it, he said he has no idea about the machine. Didn't attempt to assist further either.
Look I know theaters are expensive, but this was ridiculous. 20 pieces of candy for $5 dollars (look at the picture).
CAVEAT EMPTOR.
I lost my wallet on Sunday (7/23) when it fell out of my pants. I spent some time looking for it and I just couldn't find it at all. I left my phone and number and hoped they would of called me the same day, but didn't. The next day however, they did find my wallet and I'm just so overjoyed because I had photos in that wallet that meant a lot to me as well as my ID, Theme Park Passes, Movie Passes, Gift Cards and more. Thank you Andrew and everyone else who found my wallet, I love you guys for finding it.
Really nice movie theater but sometimes a little busy and it's not always the cleanest.
Clean well maintained place to watch movies using quality equipment. Lines for overpriced snacks are too long and slow. Usually easy parking except at infrequent peak times. Dining options all around outside. Usually always showing the latest popular movies. Very annoying advertising forced on you before the films start. WTF for $20 we have to put up with this??? Show up late enough to miss it you can get a bad seat. Why I watch Netflix and Prime or pay per view.
Great service all around. Only complaint is I wish the shared walls between theaters was soundproofed better.
If you want to catch a movie and finding tickets or good seats is a challenge, you may actually find one here. The staff is really helpful and nice. Don't think anyone can compete iMax experience. Surrounded by a lot of diners maje it perfect place for dinner and a movie night.
I like this movie theater a lot not because I walk to it, but it's one of the biggest and nicest Edwards theater in the area, next to Irvine Spectrum of course. But this one is more updated. The best part is since Aliso Viejo has a curfew for teens and it's enforced, this theater is not as crowded after 9:00 PM. Great service overall and cleanliness. 😄
