The instructors will do anything they can to help you. I love most of them. If you have a problem with a classroom setting, dont complain to the dean nothing changes! The dean literally does nothing! If you aren't a CCP they could care less about you. It's pathetic and a future sex charge when you have a 12 year old in a college classroom. You dont put a child with adults! I felt like a creep when my lab partner was 13 and i am 22. The professor wouldn't do a damn thing! The campus is mostly filled with children(12-17). CCP sort of gets special treatment. They do as they please in class and get more grants. Ccp so you know, earn high school and college credits at the same time! If you're not a ccp they will treat you like hell, you dont even matter. Rhonda, good luck. She doesn't listen. She signs you up for more classes than you ask for. I wanted two for the summer, she gave me four. I had to pay $900.00 for my books because she didn't mention that fasfa money goes for two semesters not one. She told me i could finish my degree at darke co campus, nope i have to go to Piqua. THEN here's the best one.. Rhonda places me into my associates degree program that fits my "desired profession." SO, I just spent a year in the wrong damn program! A welfare social worker and a mental health worker are different! She put me in welfare! Its not even remotely close to my social work profession that i'd like, funny part she has her social work degree!! So thank you to Robinson, Gish and Lindeman they are my favorite, loved being taught by them! If you DON'T want to waste your time and life. Skip Edison all together!!! Thanks for wasting my time.
They can always find a way to screw up your loans. If you talk to one person they give you one answer. And if you talk someone else it's totally different. Every semester it's always screwed up. They tell you one date that you'll get it and then you make plans to use the refund and then you show up that day to get the refund and somehow they don't have it.
Edison is a great place to begin your higher education. They allow you to save a ton of money, while still giving you quality instructors.
The reviews here are so sad to see!!! I absolutely love Edison I couldn't imagine going to another school. I've always had exceptional instructors here in my 3 years here. One instructor they could do without is Bucanon but everyone else does an amazing job. They care about their students and want them to do well. Rhonda Rich goes above and beyond for her students and makes sure they are on a good path for success. If also like to mention Ruth Barney, mcroberfs, and Robinson for contributing to my success. I appreciate all they have done for
Me.
Edison is a great place to learn. I wasn't going to do a review until I laughed at the other reviews, where these folks say that Edison is about taking your money. It was appalling to me, so far as to push me to write a review. For one, what college ISN'T about taking money? If you want free college, just don't go. I have been going to Edison, and I have never felt that they only want my money. They don't force you to purchase books from them or force you to stay in classes you can't be in. They are very easy going, and kind. Anyone who says "This college just wants your money" is a moron, NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE. Go trump, Merica. Love you mcroberts and robinson.
It's a good place to start and transfer, or to get credit in high school.
The instructors are great. I know a lot of them well and it is to my understanding that the school management and management system has not always been easy or in the best interests of the students. But in 2016, I as a full time student can tell you that this school is great. The staff is responsive and they care about the students.
The courses here can be easy as well as hard. (it varies on the instructor) But overall, education is a far more valuable tool than anything else and this place is a good place to start if you don't have a lot of money to spend. (Courses range from the 2 to 5 hundred dollar range)
The have great instructors All of them take the time to work with each student that comes to them. It is one of the better schools I have been too! Everyone is so nice.
Based on some of these comments, I'd suggest Edison needs an ombudsman to straighten out the issues. I've been taking French, and my instructor Larry Rich is a fine instructor and an excellent human being.
Most irritating school ever. How can you suspend a teacher, then tell us we have to go 2 extra weeks to make up for the 2 weeks you suspended the teacher. Financial Aid department is horrid because they are imbeciles first off and then they treat you like your stupid for their own mistakes that just happen to turn into your mistakes. How do you lose someones transcript or loan information? The only shining light are the teachers since they are helpful and most are kind. Most of the time they have no control of the what the school does and its not their fault. It is unfortunate that this is the only community college within like 20 miles or I would have transferred. Last thing though, Edison says they are for the student when they are actually only in it for the money. they are the first ones to get you into the class, and the first ones to shorten the withdraw for full refund period so you have to pay. The schools a joke.
