The few times we have not stayed here, we regretted it. Best sunset lake views in Door Co. The Fish Boil at the adjacent Old Post Office is Must! Done it 5 times now and it never gets old.

Beware of "office fees"if you have to cancel.they take "half payment" up front also. I cancelled over 8 weeks in advance and was charged a $25 "office fee". This hotel has no problem booking roomsin fact as of this writing there are no rooms available for May 15, 2018. There are other nice places to stay in Ephraim.suggest you consider other hotels.

This is a fantastic place to stay! It's centrally located on the peninsula and is quite well appointed. The staff was very helpful during our stay and we all had a great time. We've stayed in plenty if other places in door county but we keep coming back to the Edgewater.

We stayed at the Edgewater Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location is very close to the water, other small cities and Peninsula State Park. The water view suite we had was modern and clean. The double fire place with views from both living area & bedroom and the large in room hot tub were both relaxing. The in room gift of bath salts & loofa was nice. Our suite had a full kitchen which was convenient. The king bed was comfortable. This is a very nice resort and the staff was friendly.
There are a few changes the resort could easily make and I would have given them a 5 star review: The bedroom needs to have room darkening shades and/or drapes installed. The outdoor lighting on the property is so bright that the room is very bright at night. It is difficult to sleep in a room that is daylight bright! Seriously, just adding this would be awesome! The bed pillows were hard so pillow variety could be improved. The couch in the living area is a pull our sofa so not conducive to relaxing. A recliner would be a bonus.
That said, we enjoyed our stay and would return if some changes were made. I will check back with them in a few months

Great location and clean. Get a 3rd floor suite if you can overlooking the bay. Great sunsets on the deck. Authentic Door County fish boils too. Close to Fish Creek, Sister Bay, and Peninsula State Park.

Room was clean and comfortable, check in was very quick. There was a light on the balcony that shone directly into our room and was distracting when trying to sleep. Overall a pleasant stay.

Breakfast here at the Old Post Office was very good. Enjoyed being able to sit outside and service was very good.

First time staying here. Per trip advisor we decided to stay and add one more day. While not cheap, it is as close to 5 stars in door co. The staff is great. Rooms are clean and if you come prepared with food and snacks you will never have to leave. Get a pool side room and you won't be disappointed. A short drive or walk to the public beach makes life even better. Great for familes with kids old and young.Thanks for making 2014 family vacation.

Update: 4/22/16: This place has been made our family tradition. Each summer we plan on a week at the Edgewater. We did a summer week there in 2015 and we have another week planned this July in 2016. We love the EDGEWATER and Door County! Is it too early to book 2017?

Update 7/20/2017: our family enjoyed another wonderful 5 days at Edgewater. The staff was wonderful the cleaning staff was wonderful the site was clean the pool is clean everything was perfect. We will be booking again for next year.

Absolutely wonderful. We came here for our 5 year anniversary and couldn't be happier. Great rooms. Really big with jacuzzi tub and full kitchen. My only tiny complaint would be that the particular room we had was suppose to be waterfront but our main living room windows faced the back of the resort and the bedroom window kinda faced the water. You'd have to have bedroom blinds open, which we didn't want, in order to see the water and you'd have to stand in the corner of the room too. All was good though since you literally walk across the road to get to the water. We took a couple walks out there and got wonderful views. Next time I will know which room to request. All and all, great place. Perfect location, clean room, and friendly staff. Definitely coming back.
